Dahlia field update!!! Things are looking beautiful out here today. We have THREE weddings to provide flowers for this week- breaking a record of most weddings in a week. How exciting! 🌸
SEED STARTING today! 🌱It’s that time of year again yall. I’m starting some foxglove seeds today for fall plantings. I will say I picked some varieties that I am excited about this year! And it will be my first time growing foxglove here at the farm. Another thing- most flower farmers seem to be using soil blocking to start seeds. But I am a seed tray girl through and through. Ask me later- I’ll keep my mind open to it. I love trays because for one… I can re-use all the ones that strawberry plugs are delivered in. And then two- I like the roots contained in the cells of the trays so much. Maybe it is just what I’m used to. But there’s my two cents! 😁

PUMPKIN HARVEST yesterday! 🍂We had a big day in the field harvesting all the pumpkins we grew! We now have pumpkins, butternut squash, and acorn squash for sale. DM me if you want to purchase some! 🍂We are so excited about our first pumpkin crop! Thanks everyone who worked to get these pumpkins harvested yesterday!🍂
Very exciting day of bouquet making! 31 bouquets for a special event today. We are loving the colors of these summer flowers!🌸
This morning’s flower harvest includes: dahlias, eucalyptus, and sunflowers! 🌸We always beat the heat whenever cutting flowers by going out in the field early in the morning or either late evening (*we’ve also been known to strap on the headlamp and get out after dark to cut flowers)! 😂 Whatever time we choose it definitely is not in the heat of the day. We want your flowers to be strong and beautiful when you receive them.
