Our Story

After being married and raising 6 kids. Our oldest daughter was engaged and starting the process of planning a wedding. This dream of building our wedding venue started with our daughter Krista and Alex getting married. After their wedding I actually joked about purchasing land and planning the details of our beautiful wedding venue.

After final plans and purchase of 30 acres in Valley View TX., filled with trees we started our journey. Many I am not sure understand what this took for us to even be able to start this journey. It meant we would sell our family home. The home we built to raise our kids, the home where my mom spent her last 15 years of her life living with us. At times we questioned if this was God’s plan? In the end with all the support from our family, friends and prayers we completed the venue.

There’s always more to the story....some we can’t not discuss in details as we are still fighting for what is right. If you know me, I will fight till the end. However after someone walking away with over 25,000 of our inside finish money, life threw us a very bumpy 6 months- trying to complete the barn, prepare for our first wedding, catch up from time spent wrong. With our family support, and many, many prayers answered. We did it....then we worked even harder to keep updating and finishing each project on the list. It took 2 years for us to finally get the front entrance completed. One of the very first things we had designed.

During this time, still to date, my husband works full time job. I still run a very successful window covering business. Along with covering 90% of all emails, tours and 100% attendance at each wedding. Yes, I have been at each wedding, and love sharing these spending these days making memories with our new extended families.

Feb 2017 was the first of 23 weddings we celebrated this year. This wedding will always hold a special place in our hearts as well as many that put much faith in us to share our dream of this journey.

As we are about to close on our 2018, celebrating another 78 weddings. We have connected with many great vendors in this industry. We attended the Wedding MBA in Vegas and are so excited to share all the great advice we brought back to Dallas with our brides/grooms and families.

We are blessed with a great staff that help up each and every weekend prepare for the weddings, from the set up, landscaping to the tables, chairs and break down. They have become a part of our extended family. Regina, Riley, Hillaree, Ty, Jessica P and Jamie. We truly our so thankful for you and all the love to put into Whispering Oaks as well.

We have been blessed with a vendor team that always shows up to not only do their job, but jump in to help where needed. Our circle is amazing and a true blessing.

We have been involved with the Valley View Chamber much more this year, along with Bridging Hope Ministries. In December we bused over 100 (Friends) Homeless from Denton and feed them a Christmas Dinner, turned up the music and danced the day away. Sent them home with a backpack filled with items of need. It was beyond anything I could of dreamed of. We support our VV football booster as well, and have been blessed to help where we can.

We are looking forward to another great year celebrating each and every love story. Again the feeling to know that we have been blessed to witness 78 couples in their wedding vows, watched as celebrated starting their life as one. It is more then I could ever have dreamed.

To top off these blessing, we have 6 children. All are doing well, attending school, serving their country and my daughter Krista, where the story begins is a stay home mother of two of most cherished blessings our two grandchild. As they live in CO, I look forward to their visit and their daily Facetime.
