Once again the state highway department is killing us and Corky is NOT happy about it! It seems like every summer they find something to fix on 6 that involves "road closed" signs at 49 and detours everyone away from us. Starting Monday, highway 6 will be closed at Mander Road which is about 1/4 mile WEST of the winery. This will be until the end of December. Highway 6 is the main artery to the winery. Unfortunately because of trucks, they have to detour on State Roads that can handle the weight of large trucks, If you are in a car and not an 18 wheeler, you can easily get to the winery by the county roads (and it's beautiful driving through the country this time of year!)
Any of the county roads that cross the 49 bypass (400N, 500N, 600N, or 1050N (Sidewalk Road) in Chesterton) all will get you to 400E, which runs north and south through most of the county. The winery is just a couple thousand feet East of 400E. Give it a try!
Unfortunately this comes at our busiest time of the year. We NEED the support of our local folks. We will continue to be open from 12 to 6pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will also continue to have live music 2 to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, as well as our delicious wine and food, and of course our friendly kitties will appreciate all of your neck scritches! Please make the effort to come see us! We need your support now more than ever.
