Chesterton High School Applied Arts students are now showcasing their work in the "Outside The Box" exhibition at the Das' Gallery in Valparaiso! 🎨😊 Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Valparaiso, IN

The "Outside The Box" exhibition is showcasing cubist oil pastel self-portrait drawings by 21 exceptional learners celebrating uniqueness and diversity through creativity! They are taught by the great CHS art teacher, Colin May. Stop by the Das' Gallery at the Country Inn & Suites at 2020 LaPorte Avenue in Valpo to check out the exhibition.

The exhibition will run through February, with an artist’s reception from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 30th.

Our Story

Almost 40 years ago we began under a different name with the Valparaiso Popcorn Festival as the only event. In 2008 we hosted 5 events. In 2018 we will host 13 unique events totaling over 95 days! Our longest running event is also our largest. The Valparaiso Popcorn Festival sees over 60,000 attendees each year in ONE DAY! Our fastest selling ticketed event is focused on chocolate and our second fastest ticketed event is focused on craft beer. Keep in mind that over 90 days of our events are FREE!
