Project: Water Works

Project: Water Works THE STUDENT'S STAGE -- ITS ALWAYS FREE! Share a picnic with the kids, or take a break from the school day. This lost little gem has been found. WHO: You!

- Project: Water Works -

Together, we can make your favorite local amphitheater a safe place to listen to music, and breathe. (lost, and found again) It is our job to help it shine! Say thank you to someone today, and mean it. Members of the community! WHAT: Live music, vendors, art shows, drum circles. As well as talent shows put on by local elementary schools, and seniors that are involved wit

h the community through Marshall Center and Firstenburg Community Center. We have a lot of resources as a community, we just have to start using them! WHERE: RIGHT IN YOUR BACKYARD!! WHY: This park could offer a sanctuary to kids of all ages, from 0-100. Backed up against Clark College's Childcare building, up the hill from Swift Skate park, and just across the street from Hudson's Bay High School as well as Marshall Community Center, you couldn't ask for a better location. On the bus line, plenty of parking, and the best part of all, it is FREE. No entry fees!! These events will be put on by volunteers from the community, and I am hoping that we have more then enough help!! Most importantly is the safety concerns brought to attention by the Columbian recently. This was my initial eye opener that the park was being forgotten and needed help two years ago. Since the cold weather is setting in, events will be planned and organized for this coming Spring/Summer. This will take much organizing and planning and working with the city to repair lights, clear the overgrown bush, repair benches and roofing, replanting gardens, painting the backdrop and working to spread awareness. If you would like to be involved, or know someone that might, in any way, please contact Sarah Cayton. Thank you! To get involved:
