Looking back at the past few months as summer winds down, what a delight it’s been: leaving us refreshed, recharged, and ready for what’s ahead.

☀️ Summer is our season of slowing down, soaking up sunshine with friends and family, and making the most of our longer days.

Now, it’s time to welcome one of the most wonderful times of the year… fall event season! 🍂

This change of season always brings a special kind of energy: families heading back to school, team members hitting the road and reconnecting with clients over summer stories, and fresh ideas coming to life with that irreplaceable autumn spark.

This year, we branched out from our Pacific Northwest roots and took Regional Connections to a new side of the country, Austin, Texas 🤠🌵
 
We kicked things off at the Airbnb with taco dinner, drinks, and card games that quickly turned teammates into housemates (and taboo masters into high-stakes gamblers). The next morning’s bagel bar could’ve fed a small village (yes, there were capers and smoked salmon). We don’t mess around.
 
Later, we joined the full DE crew virtually for our Semi-Annual Celebration, reflecting on everything we’ve accomplished and getting excited for what’s ahead in 2025. Our Texas BBQ lunch flowed into an afternoon pool party, complete with beverages, floaties, tie-dye, and a sea of cowboy hats and sunglasses to beat the Austin heat. 
 
After a late-night Shake Shack run and a competitive round of Fishbowl, the Nertz decks made their inevitable appearance, and suddenly we were frenemies deep in competition into the late hours of the night.
 
We wrapped the week on the patio at Toasty Badger, raising a literal toast to Austin’s first Regional Connection and the kind of team spirit that makes goodbyes feel more like “see you soon.”
 
As the final stop on this year’s summer of Regional Connection, Austin brought the perfect level of warmth, comfort food, & friendship to a summer full of DE connection.

Continuing our Regional Connections of the year, Vancouver brought the sunshine, the toppings, and a whole lot of team spirit.

We gathered in the backyard for a classic Pacific Northwest summer evening, warm light, good vibes, and a pizza spread that had everything from pepperoni, pineapple (yes we are those people), to crispy snappeas. Some teammates got creative tag teaming half-and-half pies, and every slice came out wood fire oven-kissed to perfection 😍

After dinner, the team caught up over the glowing sunset, and of course introduced a few new faces to chaos that is DE’s favorite card game, Nertz and let’s just say, the competitive streaks came out in full force again.

It was one of those nights that felt effortless, reminding us how simple moments over shared food, “friendly” games, and face-to-face laughter can spark the kind of connection that lasts long after the plates are cleared, and the cards have been put away.

Seattle set the tone, and Vancouver kept the magic going, next stop…Austin! We’re loving this rhythm of gathering, grounding, and growing together. See you soon, Texas!

This month our team gathered in Seattle for our first Regional Connection of the year; and it was everything we knew we needed.
 
What started with quiet co-working sessions and shared playlists quickly turned into a week full of laughter and deep conversations that reminded us just how close our remote team really is.
 
Throughout the week, we turned a kitchen island into a pasta-making hub, swapped stories over pizza and wine, and got competitive (in the best way) during our daily dose of Nertz. Even everyday tasks like editing slides and answering emails felt lighter when done around the same table with people who truly get it.
 
The highlight? A backyard BBQ that brought even more of our team together in person, some for the very first time. It felt like both a reunion and a first meeting all at once, one of those rare moments where we found grounding in tie-dye, s’mores, and meeting our teammates’ little ones.
 
We closed out the week with one last co-working session at the kitchen table, and it became clear: this time together wasn’t just fun, it was finding those close connections with those around us that allow us to feel at home at DE.
 
Coming back to our home offices, we carry more than just photos, tie-dye shirts, and playlists. We’re bringing back energy, trust, and a deeper sense of team 💛
