We often get asked where the name 8th Day Venue came from and it came from Paul Harvey’s “So God Made a Farmer” speech that was told at the 1978 National FFA Convention. When we’re not at the venue, we are a multi-generation farm, raising crops and cattle, and the next farming generation🌽 When we combined all aspects of our life, faith and agriculture, “8th Day Venue” was the perfect fit! Go ahead and give Paul Harvey’s speech a listen, it’ll bring a tear to your eye!

We had the honor of welcoming back the Miss Teen Rodeo Illinois for Taylor’s coronation! From the chaps being used as personalized decor to the wild rags and spurs as centerpieces, we loved everything about it! Thank you again for choosing 8th Day to celebrate. Of course, we suggest booking as soon as you have your event date. This ensure first-availability for Rosie and our rental items! Often times we may have multiple events in a weekend and we rent our items out on a first come, first serve basis. So don’t wait to book if you want a certain item! 😉

If you’re more of a procrastinator, we can still help! 🙌 We do suggest giving us a 2 week heads up on rental if you request balloons just to make sure we have the correct colors for your event! If you won’t be having any balloons and just want our in-stock rental items, you can call us the week of to see if we’re available! Of course, you run the risk of Rosie not being available or a certain item not being available, but we will try to help the best we can!
