oy several updates over here to share & how has it been over two weeks since I last posted? 🤨 whoops
and lots of shoots to come that I haven’t shared! First up, some snippets from the Woodrow fam’s session this fall at .farm 🌾
I’m revamping my website so it’s currently nonexistent. If you’re looking to get a shoot on the books shoot me a message or text. ✉️
2026 (the downfall to photography, ya always gotta look ahead) inquiries: I’m just not quite ready yet to put things down so stay tuned for an official date of when I launch that! 📆
Working on the backend things is always much needed, but seems like I’m not working via media. I hope you all are getting a much refreshed mind starting out this year. ✨

My mental check list when I do family photos goes as follows: ☑️
📷 whole fam (several times)
📷 siblings together
📷 kiddos individual shots
📷 mom with the kids
📷 dad with the kids
📷 mom + dad together
These are the shots I always get
{babies/toddlers…children in general willing} 😂
I’ll always ask families though if there’s any others that they want! I’ve had mommas want photos with each kids alone, if there’s multiple kids sometime I do the girls together and the boys together sibling wise. It just varies and that’s ok! 👌
Never be afraid to ask for a request. We, photographers, want you to love your photos and not go home and say, “Man, I wish I would’ve ask for xyz.” ❤️

I was S T O K E D when I followed Landon + his mom to the second location they picked for his senior shoot. 📷
You see, sometimes if I have a sleeping baby in the car, time to kill, or quite frankly Aaron and I sometimes just go for drive for fun; I come across some neat spots that I’d love to shoot a session. This was one of those spots!

Can’t wait to hang with you guys today. Frankie was adamant that she could come “take pictures with mom,” but told her it might be too long of a day for her. 📷😂

…this session was bound to be gold. showed up with a LARGE coffee for ME. 🥹
This actually wasn’t the parking garage we intended to shoot in. I managed to park at the wrong one (who knew there were multiple on campus) and they met me over here. I have no regrets because the lighting was creamy dreamy. ✨

I was so proud of myself & had our Christmas cards order AND delivered to my house before Thanksgiving.

My mind has been go, go, go; do this, do that, that I haven’t slowed down to post from the weekend! 🥹
While their November wedding brought the chill of a winter day, it didn’t stop them from smiling ear to ear! 🧡
They rented an Airbnb on the outskirts of town to get ready, take family photos, do a first look, followed by some couple portraits then headed to the picture perfect little country church. ⛪️
Sarah + Caleb had a quaint wedding reception surrounded by the people they love and I was able to sit back and capture the conversations and cake cutting. (uhm and also some awesome cake pops 😍)

L O V E this family featured here. I always have lots of laughs when we get together. They’re also a part of why I finally trying the new Hibachi place in town so I’m very thankful for that because I didn’t even realize what I was missing. 😂🎉🍽️

If you remember awhile back, I posted about having to take my small doggo to a photoshoot with me because he’s a turd and likes to run away from home. This was indeed the shoot.
Luckily .carron loved Ollie and he was the perfect tag along guest.

I’ll never be able to explain exactly how it makes me feel when I see people share my work. Whether it’s a profile photo, an album created, a post made, or even prints on a wall (even if it’s unintentional and in the background) I smile from ear to ear.
So thank you all for asking me to take your photos. There’s so many photographers out there (who do WONDERFUL work) and to be able to pause that moment in time for you is quite a treasure.

haven’t posted my face on my social media in awhile whoopsies.
you all are what I care more about posting // I just calculated how many shoots I’ve had in the past month; any guesses? 🤯
and I’m not bragging by A N Y means. I was able to take on more this year than ever because of not having a full time job {well you know, one besides from being a mom}
first person to guess it right gets a coffee on me ☕️

lots and lots of goodies to share from this fall. My schedule has never been busier (with photos) and I’m truly grateful.
…grateful I took the leap to take a break from teaching, to be able to take on all these sessions with people that trust me, and of course, to be able to spend more time with my little family 🧡

If you’ve followed me for a bit, you know that I grew up in a property that had several barns. When I first got my hands on a camera, those were my subjects. I’d walk around in all weather snapping pix.
Then, of course, before I could drive, people would come to me for photos. Those barns became my backgrounds. I still to this day will ask the new owners of the property now and again if I can take some photos there. (Thanks 😊)
Grateful for those little moments that led me to here. 🎉

“so I got permission to shoot in this field, are you guys down?” 🎉🌅🌾🥹🔥 . . okay all sessions now must end this way jk sometimes the sunset doesn’t want to pop out, but dang it when it does 😩😍 . . I’m very thankful to live in a small community where everyone tends to know everyone because you can text a couple people and find out who owns what rather quickly. There’s definitely pros and cons to small town living! You may not always get a “yes, you can shoot there,” but it’s worth a shot. (oooo I made a pun) 😅
