It’s wreath season at Wild Child! 🌿❤️🌿

We love this time of year and have been busy gathering all our favorite evergreens, dried flowers, pinecones, and more to weave them into beautiful wreaths to help add some holiday cheer to your homes this season. We will have two opportunities to purchase our wreaths coming up!

1. We will be popping up with our friends and at at Oakway Center on Small Business Saturday (11/30) from 10am-1pm.

2. We’ll be hosting our annual holiday pop-up at our farm studio on Sunday, December 1st from 12-5pm. We’re located at 28319 Cantrell rd. Eugene. Swing by and grab a wreath, have some cocoa and a cupcake and warm up by the fire, we love having you here!

This time of year feels magical, the soft golden light, crisp mornings that lead to hot afternoons, long shadows, beautiful sunsets with crescent moonrises that stop me in my tracks. These last two weeks have been jam packed and I’m finally making time to jump on here and share.

We’ve flowered two beautiful weddings, harvested and decorated pumpkins for our local library, designed homecoming corsages and boutonnières, and began the big job of putting the garden to bed, always planning and planting for seasons to come…

We celebrated Ella’s birthday (14!) and I’m officially in my chauffeur era, spending all the weekday afternoons driving the girls to and fro, to dance classes, cross-country practice and meets, speech therapy…it’s a wild time, but really so grateful for all of it. Thanks for following along.

Today was the last delivery of our Summer Flower CSA! 8 weeks of local flowers harvested, gathered, designed and delivered to our amazing members each week.

All the flowers in every bouquet were either grown by us or by other local flower farmer friends! We sure loved putting everything together each week to share the beauty and abundance of this flower season with our members.

We want to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us this year! Your upfront investment early on in the season helps us get the farm up and running when we don’t have many crops to sell. We love the Community Supported Agriculture model and we’re so grateful to be able to continue providing this program each year, we couldn’t do it without you! 🌻🌻🌻

Second week of our Summer bouquet CSA and boy was it a HOT one! 🔥🌸🔥

We are waking with the rising sun to make sure everything is harvested before it gets too hot! Flowers this week are from our farm as well as and and I’m feeling very grateful for an amazing flower community of dedicated growers who work their buns off to bring in the beautiful harvest. It’s stressful to farm in this heatwave and I’m glad that the temps have gone down a bit.

I hope you are all finding fun ways to stay cool this week! Rainbow popsicles + pool dips have been our recipe for combating this heatwave...What’s yours?

Next Wednesday, July 3rd is also our first bouquet CSA delivery and we are getting so excited to share the flowers with our members again this year! 💐

Approaching summer solstice, these light filled days are FULL to the brim! Here’s a few moments captured from the last week on the farm…

Just a few more days of school and we are all so ready for the change in routine. I love having the girls home during the summer and we’ve been compiling our summer bucket lists…activities we want to do, movies that need to be re-watched, special foods we’re looking forward to indulging in. For example, we want to get up to Kentucky Falls this summer, swim at least once a day, watch Anne of Green Gables, stock the freezer with popsicles and have a corn-on-the cob eating contest (I have been known to eat 5 ears in one sitting 🤣)

Some rainbow magic yesterday evening. 🌈✨ It was like the west wind blew the rainbow sideways and it blended into the sky like watercolor. So dreamy.

We have been planting flowers and food everyday, relishing in every last drop of sunlight these days gift us.

This time of year is my favorite. The anticipation of summer, the evenings spent as a family working in the field, dreaming and planning, planting all our favorites. I sleep deeply each night, my body drained of every ounce of energy and even though I feel every single muscle, it’s like medicine for me.

We’re so excited to share this growing season with you, thanks for being here with us! Would love to know…what’s your favorite part of this season?

What a beautiful whirlwind this last week was! We would like to give a huge ✨THANK YOU✨ to everyone who came to our pop-up on Saturday and helped us spread the flower love to all the mamas! 💐💐💐

We also want to thank all the EHS prom goers for supporting us with their corsage and boutonnière orders as well as all the flowers to help adorn the venue! We hope you all had the BEST time! 🪩🌸

I spent the day yesterday feeling very grateful for my family, the ones who made me a mama. I felt very loved and cared for. We spent such a lovely, cozy day together. There was a bit of tidying up, gardening, a little farming, some afternoon napping and a roller skating sesh and pizza party for four. I couldn’t ask for anything more and my cup is overflowing. 🌷💕🌷

To keep the flower party going, we have two spring centerpiece workshops coming up this weekend with some spots still open! If you didn’t get a chance to come out this last weekend, we would love to play with flowers together at either one of our upcoming workshops!

You can order Mother’s Day flowers in our online flower shop on our new website and pick up your flowers at our 3rd annual Mother’s Day weekend pop-up here on the farm next Saturday, May 11th! 🌷🌷🌷

It looks like the weather will be beautiful! ☀️☀️☀️ We encourage you to come out and stay a while! Bring a picnic, lay out a blanket, get some flowers and make some new friends! We celebrated the life of one of my best friends yesterday. I have so many thoughts and emotions swirling that it’s hard to put into words, but it felt important to share here.

Grandma loved the flowers, believing in all my dreams from the get-go, and has inspired me ever since I was a girl gathering wildflowers from the same field I cultivate today.

I have never felt the absence and the presence of someone so deeply then in these last few weeks without her. She will always be one of the great loves of my life and I am and will be forever grateful for being known and loved by her.

Just a few snippets of the last week or so. My baby wild child is now 10 as of yesterday! She is such a light in our family, with her sparkly energy and tender heart. I can’t believe my youngest is double digits already, and as birthdays always do, it brings me deep reflection and a strong desire to slow down time…

We have been enjoying the spring weather by planting seeds, marveling at the cherry tree in full bloom and chatting with the neighbor calves across the fence as they soak in the morning sun.

I’ve been busy writing proposals for some beautiful weddings coming up this spring and summer, planning for Mother’s Day (and prom!) as well as working with .creations on our new website! We have a lot to share with you in the next few weeks, thanks for being here with us! 🌷🌷🌷
