The Ventura County Fairgrounds & Event Center is heartbroken to see the devastation of the latest fires in our neighboring communities. We are incredibly grateful and appreciative of the many agencies working to save lives, save homes, and provide assistance – many of which were just here, stationed at our Fairgrounds.

At this time, the Fairgrounds is NOT an evacuation center for animals. Currently, Los Angeles Animal Services is facilitating animal evacuations. If at any moment, Ventura County Animal Services is activated to assist, the Fairgrounds will open its barns and facility. We have communicated our readiness to officials; we are prepared to take animals immediately. We will communicate that here.

Just in time for holiday shopping! 🎁 The Great Junk Hunt offers a unique opportunity to discover one-of-a-kind pieces that add character and flair to any space.

NOW ACCEPTING JUNIOR FAIR BOARD APPLICATIONS 📋

The Ventura County Fairgrounds is now accepting Junior Fair Board applications! The Junior Fair Board is a volunteer-based youth program. Members are expected to attend monthly meetings, engage in community outreach, volunteer at various fairgrounds events, and hold activities for guests during the Ventura County Fair.

▪️ No Fair experience required

▪️ Earn volunteer hours!

Update

Our hearts go out to our community members.

We want to extend our gratitude to the first responders who continue to fight the Mountain Fire and support citizens affected by the devastation. The Fairgrounds has an up-close look at the efforts being made and has partnerships with the Ventura County Fire Department, Cal Fire, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, Ventura County Animal Services, CHP, and many more agencies - all of whom are working on behalf of our community.

On Wednesday, the Ventura County Fairgrounds was transformed from the event venue you know, to an evacuation resource for large animals, a staging area for fire personnel, and a command center for the Sheriff's Department - in a matter of hours. The Fairgrounds has become a small city of big heroes. As of this morning, there are 497 engines from cities far and wide and 2,999 personnel coming and going to and from the Fairgrounds. There are 150+ horses, goats, alpacas, and other large animals in our barns.

Thank you to those who have offered to drop-off donations for the personnel. Please consider donating to those affected by the fire. Evacuation centers, Food Share Ventura County, the Red Cross, Ventura County Animal Services, and other organizations are supporting the community in incredible ways.
