THIS SUNDAY: Chopper Fest returns to the Ventura County Fairgrounds!

The 21st Annual David Mann Chopper Fest is scheduled for Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 8am to 4pm at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. This event celebrates motorcycle culture with a special David Mann and Friends Motorcycle Art Exhibit, an all-brand antique and custom motorcycle show, custom bike builder displays, numerous vendors, a swap meet, live rock and blues bands, food, and beer.

General admission:
🎟 $15 pre-sale (including a free event poster)
🎟 $20 at the gate
🎟 $10 for Military personnel with ID
🎟 Children 12 & under are admitted free

Subject: CA H5N1 Avian Influenza - Ban on California Poultry Exhibitions at Fairs

2025 Ventura County Fair poultry show decision will be made on May 1st

Due to the ongoing statewide ban on poultry shows currently in place by the State of California, the Ventura County Fair has decided that the poultry show scheduled for this year will be re-evaluated on May 1, 2025. The Fair’s decision on whether to proceed with the event will be made based on the status of the ban at that time.

The Fairgrounds understands how important the poultry show is to our exhibitors and the community, and we remain committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. If the state’s poultry show ban is lifted by May 1st, the Fair will host the event as scheduled. If the ban remains in effect, the poultry show will be officially canceled for 2025. In the circumstance that we are unable to hold the show, there will be alternative opportunities for poultry exhibitors.

The Ventura County Fairgrounds & Event Center is heartbroken to see the devastation of the latest fires in our neighboring communities. We are incredibly grateful and appreciative of the many agencies working to save lives, save homes, and provide assistance – many of which were just here, stationed at our Fairgrounds.

At this time, the Fairgrounds is NOT an evacuation center for animals. Currently, Los Angeles Animal Services is facilitating animal evacuations. If at any moment, Ventura County Animal Services is activated to assist, the Fairgrounds will open its barns and facility. We have communicated our readiness to officials; we are prepared to take animals immediately. We will communicate that here.

The Ventura County Fairgrounds is now accepting Junior Fair Board applications! The Junior Fair Board is a volunteer-based youth program. Members are expected to attend monthly meetings, engage in community outreach, volunteer at various fairgrounds events, and hold activities for guests during the Ventura County Fair.

▪️ No Fair experience required

▪️ Earn volunteer hours!

144 Years of Tradition

A long standing tradition that originated back in 1875 initially when the purpose of the fair was for horse racing. The Ventura County Fair has since been going strong annually with the exception of a few years during World War II and in 2020 due to COVID19. The Ventura County Fair prides itself in the tradition to bring carnival rides, fabulous foods and contests for the whole family to enjoy!
