James Broxton productions presents James Broxton and the Essence of Sound band live playing musical favorites from the 1970's to current day.
Also appearing will be the vocal sensation Jamalia Scott. Here is a brief bio to introduce Jamalia Scott.
Songstress Jamalia began singing in the church choir at the tender age of three and she hasn’t stopped. As Jamalia’s talent improved, she began singing solo’s for area churches and later opening for larger acts and local artists. Jamalia is mostly known for her riveting Praise and Worship Experience and popular music covers. More recently Jamalia began venturing out into performing other genres of music to include Jazz, R&B, Soul, Pop and Hip Hop. In 2016 she was cast in the Cocoa Village Playhouse’s production of Dream Girl’s as a lead vocalist and member of a soul jazz singing group. In March of 2018 she was an opening act for Soul artist Stan Austin, of the 1970s group Main Ingredient, most famous for the song “Everybody Plays the Fool”. She was also featured in the Florida Today Newspaper for her performance at the Juneteenth Festival in Cocoa, Florida at the Moore’s Center. Jamalia can be seen performing monthly at Open Mike’s Coffee Lounge or other local venues and festivals as the lead vocalist for Jazz, Hip Hop and R&B band SWAAG. She is also the lead psalmist for her church and performs for various venues and occasions to include weddings, parties and special events. Miss Scott is currently working on her solo recording project to be released in early 2019. Be prepared to have a “Singsational” experience filled with dancing, fun, good music and good vibes. You won’t be disappointed.

What a beautiful evening at the NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet last night. James Broxton and the Essence of Sound Band provided musical entertainment for the event.
