Beginning my journey in becoming an entertainer began when I was only 12 years old...1997 to be exact. I knew I liked music...but I just needed extra cash to buy my hockey pads to be honest. Being a goalie was not cheap, and being that my father, born in Italy only supported soccer, I had to get my butt to work. I started with a teacher at my middle school in Belleville and he started showing me the ropes. He then linked me up with some other prominent companies and my journey began. At the young age of 16 I had an interview with a company in New York. He’ll remain nameless for the sake of telling a story but he asked me to mix some tracks together. I went about my thing, train wrecking song after song until he asked me to stop. He told me...”I’m not going to hire you.” My heart dropped and I asked why!? He replied...”Your mixing skills....SUCK...I have no place here for that.”
From that moment, I promised myself that I would be the best I can be and those words resonated in my ears for many years to come. I attended expos, networked with other DJs, and basically did everything I could to learn to be the best. No matter what it was, we wanted to push the envelope and be the first to change the industry. TVs...2003...laptop to DJ...2004...Dance on clouds concept--first....Indoor safe pyrotechnics...first....Hora Loca--featured in NY times as changing the game. We’ll never lose that fire...I swear it gets me fired up just writing this.
Fast forward to today, our company now has 20+ on staff and continuously growing. I push everyone to be the best they can be and everyone at Mystical Entertainment Group has one thing in common--Passion. We love this and continue to grow and improve each and every day because that's the only way to be in life.
Our company has won prestiguous awards such as the Knot’s Best of Weddings (every year since 2012), Wedding Wire’s Couple’s Choice award, (every year since 2011), The Knot’s Hall of Fame award, and our finest award yet, the award for BEST ENTERTAINMENT IN NJ by ILEA. Our standard, is excellence--nothing less.
