Alison and Franklin were married on a gorgeous fall night surrounded by dark moody florals and candle light. We absolutely loved working with this color palette and the warmth it brought to the space.

Alison is no stranger to flowers as she’s been working at Blooms for over two years! Her wedding was filled with her favorites including thistle, calla lilies, nandina, magnolia leaves, mums, amaranthus, garden roses, and lots of different textured greenery. We loved putting together such a beautiful event for such an amazing person!

One of our favorite floral trends for this year has been tall flower stands. Scattered throughout tables in the barn, it adds so much dimension.

We loved putting together this perfectly peachy wedding for Mary and Shawn. These gorgeous pillars were a sight to see full of roses in every shade of orange and peach as well as dahlias and zinnias to add some extra pops of color! All of the bouquets for this wedding included delicate oncidium orchids for a hint of golden yellow.

This week’s flower of the week: clematis!

Clematis is known as the queen of climbers! It has vining stems that love to crawl when planted. Clematis is a perennial plant, so if you plant it in your garden, it will come back year after year! We most commonly get clematis in shades of purple here at the shop, but there is also white, pink, and red.

This week’s flower spotlight: hydrangeas!!

Hydrangeas come in a variety of colors including white, pink, green, blue, and purple. They can create the perfect base for any arrangement or bouquet. Hydrangeas drink through both their petals and stem, so when they’re a bit dehydrated, you can just give their head a dunk in a bucket of water! When growing hydrangeas, the acidity of the soil can affect the color. Adding aluminum sulfate to your soil will cause hydrangeas to grow blue!

Some of the flowers we just got in! These gorgeous soft yellow mini cymbidium orchids have been my favorite addition to Thanksgiving centerpieces! Also making an appearance 🍑 mums, fall waxflower, cappuccino roses, flame callas and a bunch of tulips for those already dreaming of spring!

This little cutie decided to hang out on our arch arrangement for Hayley’s wedding a couple of weekends ago 🥹🦋
Blooms will be closed this week (June 27th through July 4th) to try to knock out some work on our new space & reset a little bit this week during the current flower shortages due to strikes in Ecuador & Colombia. We’ll be back around to take your orders on Tuesday, July 5th. 💐✨
