A new idea to try this spring… A Cocktail Garden 🤷🏼‍♀️. I’m always looking for new ideas so I may give this a shot.

I decided to make some beef vegetable soup today and I dug these beautiful carrots from the garden.

The season is not over yet. My zinnias are still producing flowers and I was even able to find a purple coneflower and a Shasta daisy today.

I started experimenting this year with lavender. I used it as filler for some of my bouquets as I didn’t have a lot of filler flowers this year.

I really love how it smells, so I picked some to bring inside and display in my bathroom. Thinking about growing more of this next year.

Can’t wait to see what summer 2025 brings.

The peonies I ordered from Berbee Bulbs arrived on Friday. I ordered my first peony roots from Berbee last year and was so happy with the quality I ordered again this year. 

I spent most of the weekend getting the bulbs in the ground and into pots to overwinter. I bought Festiva Maxima this year, beautiful white flowers with a small pink center. They are gorgeous and will look beautiful in bouquets or in a vase. I can’t wait to see them come up in the spring.

Picking flowers on a beautiful fall day. Just when I think the flowers are done and they surprise me and continue to bloom.

Right now I’m working on harvesting the spent flowers and planning the garden for the spring. Definitely doing sunflowers and zinnias again.

The flowers are dwindling, but they are still beautiful🌸💕 This will probably be the last bouquet for my subscriptions this year. Thankful for all of the support. I’m already planning my flowers for next year. !

Harvested the last sunflowers of the season tonight. They are one of my favorite flowers and I’m definitely going to plant more next year!

Flowers bring me so much joy and I love sharing them with others.

Here are a couple bouquets I made for some friends on the lake. I also made a beautiful sunflower bouquet for our neighbors John and Lorene but I forgot to take a picture of that one 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s challenging to pick sunflowers right now because I think the bees love them as much as I do! I typically leave my sunflowers in the ground after they have flowered so the birds can eat the seeds. The circle of life of a sunflower is just fascinating 🤓
