Our team at Frederick Construction was tremendous in their efforts to present our Hill's Buildings in their best light during construction, while anticipating the holiday event crowds. We are thrilled to have snapped this moment in time along the buildings' rehabilitation process!

The design and construction team are back at work, continuing the façade work along Main St.

The storefront of 108 S. Main is being framed in detail, and the structural work at 106 S. Main will soon give way to the same framing efforts of windows, doors, and decorative details.

Does anyone recognize the holiday art hanging in the framed openings of 110 S. Main? These have been stored within the Hill's Building, from holidays of yesteryear!

We hoped you joined us for last weekend's holiday festivities during the annual Christmas in the 'Burg event hosted by the Village of Vicksburg, MI ! What a day of fun and celebration as the streets of downtown boasted a variety of holiday activities. There is nothing quite like gathering in our hometown in the company of friends new and old. Over the last few years, the Cone Top Brewery Museum has been working with National Association Breweriana Advertising (NABA) on what is known as the Collector Series. This video series is a showcase of passionate breweriana collectors and their extensive personal collections of beer advertising. From vintage signs to rare lithographs, they’re sharing their unique stories of preserving beer memorabilia.

Our very first highlight in the Collector Series is Randy Huetsch from Chesterfield, MO! Randy's collection of pre-Prohibition breweriana is a gallery-worthy tribute to St. Louis brewing history, featuring unique corner signs, porcelain pieces and more.

As our spaces fill with family and friends gathering throughout the year, we are so thankful to be a part of your family stories, memories and traditions – whether from McElvain House / The Community Center or in the backdrop of The Mill at Vicksburg. Our community has such a rich history, and a shared appreciation of this wonderful place we call home. We’re thankful to share in this love of historic Vicksburg with you all.

Downtown Vicksburg has no shortage of "corner buildings" when we consider those facing a primary street AND those adjacent to an alley - like 110 S. Main's corner of Main St. and Liberty Lane.

The corner effect on the upstairs interior is one of a light, bright, airy space from so many tall historic windows!

We're readying for the completion of each historic window that has been restored and refitted, and soon to be installed. Even without the "new" historic windows, the second floor space of 110 S. Main shines again with natural light.

As the Hill's Buildings continue to transform with our interior and exterior rehabilitation efforts, we love the incredible history of the ground floor spaces along Main Street!

We ALSO love the dramatic second floor spaces! The upper floor of 108 S. Main is an incredible loft-like interior with gracious balcony doors, high-ceilings, and upper clerestory windows that allow for bright day-lighting throughout the year.

While the exterior balcony is being recreated to align with the original history of the façade, it's easy to imagine how wonderful a balcony overlooking Main St. will be from the second floor interior space as well.

As we're entering the final phases of our roof replacement and roof rehabilitation efforts, we love how this look-back to November 2020 shows us how far we've come in the stabilization of our beloved mill building.
