We just can't help but admire this landmark historic building from every angle!
Our latest aerial views from Kristian Walker Photography show our Building 7 Roof with all of its detail. The Frederick Construction team continues to make great strides towards completion of the new roof ahead winter weather.
When we tally our total roof area in "acres", the extent of rehabilitation completed across this 400,000 SF historic mill is incredible!

Scenes from our daily construction efforts at The Hill's Buildings in historic downtown Vicksburg, MI. The west facades, as well as the east facades along Main Street, are undergoing full historic rehabilitation efforts through the skilled efforts of our masons, steel fabricators, carpenters, excavation and remediation crews (and so many others!).

Our Hill’s Buildings are making history with yesterday’s removal of the storefront at 106 S. Main! This third building has been stabilized with exterior shoring and we are preparing to raise the height of the ground floor retail windows to their original, historic configuration.

We have some of the best views! With a front row seat to view the amazing rehabilitation of our downtown, we love seeing the daily care taken with our incredible, historic buildings.
McElvain House was constructed in 1872 as a brick structure (bottom center), and our rich history is one of our favorite features!

Our efforts have shifted to a focus on interior details of our Hill’s Building rehabilitation, led by our design and construction team this week. We have such a spirit of collaboration underway as we design, document, construct (and repeat) while the buildings continue to reveal their history as we move from one section to another.

When it's sunny and 80-degrees in October, we can't help but pause and admire the amazing rehabilitation progress on our downtown Hill's Buildings. The arched openings in our 110 S. Main façade are now evident - and it is the first time this geometry has been seen in more than a century. Three arched display windows frame an arched vestibule - all of which will be trimmed with painted mahogany trim in profiles that were informed by the original design of the late 1800's.

The Neighborhood BBQ Company delivered such a great menu - with all dishes smoked overnight, onsite, at The Mill on the eve of our event!

It has been almost a week since we hosted our 5th Annual Mill Family Reunion event onsite at The Mill at Vicksburg. Former mill workers gathered to reconnect with friends, celebrate their past work experiences, and reimagine their places in the mighty mill building.

Sustainability | Episode 2 | Lead Abatement

The meticulous 18 month lead abatement process is now complete. BlasTek, LLC has been on site removing up to 8 layers (over 400,000 sq.feet!) of lead paint using corn husks, black walnut shells and "black beauty" (synthetic sand).
