We wanted to keep everyone in the loop...

Over a month ago Bradley the Pit Boss took a leap of faith and left a 20 year career to pursue his dream with Boone Mountain BBQ. We planned to start serving more and more throughout the week, but then Hurricane Helene hit two weeks after he resigned.

Our home suffered a lot of damage and unfortunately it is hard to smoothly operate and get the trailer in and out while this work is being done on our home. We planned to do a big dinner (with lots of ribs) this week, but we're headed to a hotel while the water will be cut off for the work being done. Like we said in an earlier post, we are taking things moment by moment right now.

All events we have previously committed to will still be done. We're just on hold for pop-ups right now. As soon as we possibly can, we will be back out serving you. We love and miss you all so much! 🙏

The place we planned to serve at tomorrow already had someone lined up to cook and serve, so we will hold off until we hear of a place needed. 🩵

On Thursday, October 31st we will be at the Blowing Rock School Fall Festival. Brisket & Pulled Pork!

After this, I'm trying to talk the Pit Boss into doing an "all rib" night. It's been forever and we've had a lot of people missing their ribs. Who's with me? 🤚

Thank you for the shout-out from the company who built our trailer. One of the guys showed up here after the storm to check on us and went immediately to help where needed. So thankful for people from all over who have helped our area!

*It's looking like this will be our last week serving free meals before we go back to normal operations. A major THANK YOU to all who have donated to make this happen. It has been a blessing to us and everyone who stopped by. Updates later for when and where we will be on Tuesday.

Just a reminder that there will be free pulled pork sandwiches + chips at the State Line Distribution Center today. Should be ready around 1:00/1:30.

Thank you to a couple from West View Baptist Church in Boone and Mi Nail Salon for sponsoring the meals today! 🤟

A couple of updates...right now, we are swamped with things going on around our house due to the damage. We are cooking and serving as we are able. We still have donations rolling in and want to be faithful to get food out to where it is needed. Operations right now are on a day to day basis and we will be quick to get info out as soon as we know where we will be. 🤎

We will be cooking for the distribution center at the NC/TN State line on Thursday October 24th and volunteers there will be serving. Check out their Facebook link below.

We still have donations rolling in and want to be faithful to get food out to where it is needed. We have a large event this evening, but will be back out next week serving the community with free food again. We will keep you updated with when and where.

Tomorrow, Wednesday October 16th, we will be in Tynecastle. We will be ready to serve free pulled pork sandwiches & chips starting at 11:00 am until gone. ❤️

Approximately 1300 meals served and so many people to thank for that!! One-Presidential Mortgage, High Country Insurance, and the Norris family all had a part in making this happen.

We have enjoyed serving and seeing so many wonderful people, but we need to take a few days off as our home is still in shambles from Helene. We need a breather and time with our kids, but we will be back Wednesday, Oct. 16th at Tynecastle at the strip mall in front of Lowe's Foods serving free meals!

Because of our friends from ONE-Presidential Mortgage, they have made it possible for us to come serve you FREE food for the next 2 days! We look forward to serving you!

We are praying, hurting, and grieving with you all.

We will not be out this week for obvious reasons. The BBQ trailer was spared. A huge thank you to our neighbors for helping us get it out of harms way during the storm! Our road will not allow us to bring the trailer out at the moment. We would love to be out there serving hot meals to whoever needs them! Hopefully soon! We love you all. 🙏
