Photographed Tina and AJ’s wedding 5 years ago and just did their extended family session 🤩 love when I get to reconnect with my awesome couples!! Their reception is still one of my favorites, such high energy. AJ and some groomsmen came out to the dance floor in fox masks while WhatDoes The Fox Say played and it is still something Lex and I talk about to this day.

It seems to me families with younger kids reach out more often for photos than with older and that could be for so many reasons. But when I get a family with teens, it makes me so happy when the kids are there and actively participating in the photos for their parents 🥹 and not making me feel like a total goof with all my ideas 😂 Eddie and Nicholas, thanks for making your mom’s day! // also I’m pretty sure it’s a rule that no matter what age you are, if you see a pile of leaves in the woods you must play in it.

Kate and Linnea are married!! 🤩 documenting their relationship has been one of my very favorite things. The way they both looked at each other… swoon!! It was so clear they are the other’s best friend. I feel so lucky I got to be a part of such an incredible wedding 🩷 also, those colors!! Between the sunset, the red tree and their outfits, I’m obsessed.

Last set of sneak peaks for the moment and it’s the Ireland family!! We had to recreate some of the photos we’ve taken at their past sessions and of course get some fun new photos. I remember the only photo we could get it Brooks without Laura was when he was upside down and now both him and Thomas were ready to go starting off the session with brother hugs 🥹

I had so many wonderful mini sessions this weekend!

Excited I kicked them off with JT's senior photos :) So wild to me that I babysat him a few times years ago. Now he will be graduating high school next year and going on to business school!

Blumen Gardens is already pretty magical and then add in Carolyn + Matt and WOW. They looked amazing!!! Carolyn teared up when she tried on her dress (those sleeves!) and I am all about a nontraditional suit color. Magical day with the warmest people

Sarah and Cody wanted a nontraditional wedding focusing on having a fun day with the most important people in their life. I think they nailed it!! Cody wore jeans and got to ride his motorcycle at the venue, their dogs walked dog the aisle, their wedding party was small and they had BBQ for dinner 🤩

The Moore siblings put this session together for their parents’ 30th wedding anniversary! What a fun and thoughtful gift 🥹 I just loved meeting everyone!! While I love family sessions with small kids, I think it’s so important to do a session even when your kids are adults with their own families! And watching them all interact it was clear how much they mean to each other 🩷

If you are going to do a bubble exit, definitely break out the big bubble machines 🤩 what a fun thing to do!! Love this even better than sparklers. No guests almost setting someone else on fire so that’s a win for me 🙌🏻

Mandie and Tyler read their vows privately before their ceremony, had a bubble exit which was SO COOL (sharing that photo in a separate post because I love it so much 🤩), a donut wall and did a special dance with all the guests where they rushed in an out towards them on the dance floor. What an awesome day!!

Just the sweetest humans beings over here being all cool and adorable and stuff 🥹 Sarah and Cody made things official this weekend but they knew pretty much on week one a few years ago where this was headed when Cody moved in. When you know, you know! Lex and I both teared up several times throughout their wedding day between their vows and the speeches their Best Man and Matron-of-Honor gave. Feeling really lucky to have been a part of their wedding 🩷

I love when soon-to-be NIU grads reach out for senior photos, always a good excuse to walk campus again 🤩 Hailey absolutely nailed her session. She is going into teaching and told me she really loves to work with kids in around 2nd/3rd grade when they are getting into reading and so excited about learning. I remember those being great years in school. Congratulations Hailey on your upcoming graduation!! And good luck with your last semester of student teaching 😘

Can I just hangout with the McAllister family all evening?? It is always SO MUCH FUN working with them. Especially the girls! As soon as they got out of the car Tilly was telling me about nature crafts and how to make faeries, Penny was finding supplies to make faerie houses, and Ophelia was okay hide and seek. Just pure magic ✨
