PHOKUL POYNT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU!! There are several reasons for this.
1. Why?
(5)

As the global online market expands, you will be competing not only with whoever is left of the biggest labels, it will become increasingly easy to get lost within the niche labels.
2. Established indie labels have established niche genres. As we know, this is great if you can transform a trend into a lifestyle.
3. Creating a profile on Facebook is great, however; think about the number. As of Jan

uary, 2011 there is an estimated 600,000,000 members on Facebook. This means your label is buried within supermarkets, diet plans, marketing schemes, TV shows and everything in between. Meanwhile, all we do is whatever is DJ Culture. Sure, we’ll have ads, we have to pay bills too, but with proper sponsorship, we can focus on YOU! DJ’s:
PHOKUL POYNT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU!! Because at one point we were DJ’s too! DJ’s are the musical tastemakers. Since the days of early Hip-Hop, DJ’s have been groundbreaking pioneers in not only breaking new music from emerging labels, but also showcasing skills, mixing records and developing a professionalism that is sorely lacking in the world of music. No offense to our good friends in the rap community, but rarely do you hear the rapper acknowledge the fact that Hip-Hop was actually created by the DJ! At the back end of DJ Shadow’s Endtroducing…is the track “Why Hip-Hop sucks in 96” In which he gives a 3 word sentence to sum this reason up. Also buried deep at the end of DJ Paul Nice’ album “Paul Nice Presents: Journey to the Center of The Beats” Paul skillfully uses an excerpt from Robert Crumb summing up the current state of Hip-Hop, and the driving force behind why it was compromised. We highly suggest both albums by the way. Not to start any controversy, but that reign is coming to an end. Our goal is to give DJ’s the recognition they deserve. The craft has come a long way, and proper recognition is way overdue. Graffiti & Dance:
As for the Graffiti and Dance ends of Phokul Poynt, these were the original parts of Hip-Hop. The dance end is not as specific, because Hip-Hop dance has been modified over the years. Never-the-less, music and dancing are synonymous. Not only do we know the place for these entities, we are creating the surroundings for them to be prosperous.
