When you are with someone, do not change yourself to cater to their likes alone. Change to make yourself a better person: be kinder,laugh often, learn something new but do not change yourself to be another version of your significant other. Your differences should not tear you apart but bring you closer, unless you're and Eagles or Dallas fan, then you are on your own. Just kidding!

When spending time together, are you both on your phones or do you actively engage with each other? Take the time to shut off your phones when you are together and actually talk to each other with being in the same room and enjoy each other's company! If you are on the phone, watching TikTok, on FB, or IG, then you are wasting precious time that can never be regained. Unplug and learn about each other. You never stop dating your partner, even after you get married.

Taking the time to learn about your significant other, helps with communication clues. When they want to approach a serious subject, what do their face and body language say? When they are hungry, are they moody? When they are tired, do they get silly and punchy? When they are happy, does their smile reflect in their eyes? What is their favorite food? Favorite candy? Do they like to be outdoors or like to stay home? When you are together, are they on their phone or actively listening to what you are saying? It is the answer to these questions, that will help with those little moments, that make them smile and happy. For example, if you knew what their favorite meal is, you can cook it during the week, just to give them a surprise. Or if you know what their favorite candy is, and they are having a bad day, have it waiting for them with a little note. Or if they are a Harry Potter fan, get them something that goes along with that and surprise them! Even if you are not into it, seeing the smile and happiness they show when you notice those things, just to see them smile. It does wonders!

Being intimate does not only mean about s*x. It is the holding hands when out and about or driving. Its those kisses hello, good morning, goodbye, and good night. It's the hugs and forehead kisses. It is the hair caresses, light skin caresses and the occasional b***y grab. LOL.It is not just initiated by one but both partners. It is about the unspoken communication between two people that says I love you and you make me happy! And it does not always lead to s*x but if it does, hey, no complaints here. LOL

Communication is important.
Via phone, in person, via text. When writing and in person, tone can change the whole dynamic of the conversation and can put both parties in defensive mode which at that point, nothing will be heard because you are only waiting to rebut anything that was said and not resolve what the initial issue was.
No one is perfect so therefore, you can not always be right.
Do not throw in your partners face anything that was revealed to you in confidence. When you do, it cannot be taken back, and the bond of trust is broken.
