Everyone gathered today for a potluck, fruit pizza, and farewells to Emma! We know we will still see her around, but it's the end of an era around here! Thanks for calling this home for the last 5 years, we will miss you❤️.

Man, I never thought I'd be writing both of their farewells so close together. Today we are wishing Emma the very best, as she begins her new journey.

A little over a year ago, Emma switched to working part time for me and part time for her families hog company, and the time has now come for her to be full time there. In conjunction with Interstate Swine, Emma and her brothers have created their own hog company 4th Gen Hogs, and I am so excited to see this company thrive and see her working alongside her family, something she has always wanted.

Emma came to my store when she was just 16, about to be a junior in high school. Never would I have ever imagined the journey we would go on together over the next 5 years. I remember how devastated I was when she moved to Ankeny for college, and how selfishly thrilled I was when she returned. Watching her grow from 16 to 21, go through so many life changes, navigate new normals, and work to create the life she wants has been a privilege. From teaching her how to make her first arrangement, to watching her grow her skills and knowledge and thrive off of everything the floral industry has to offer, has been a privilege.

I remember when she first started, the intense passion she had for floral. It mirrored my own, and it was so exciting for me to teach her and show her everything I knew. Over the years we have made many memories, worked so hard, and grown so much.

Having my team of *Em's*, was a wonderful era and I'm blessed to have had it for so long. Don't worry, we will still see her around sporadically. The floral industry is a creative outlet that's hard to walk away from, and we look forward to her future visits!

So here's to new beginnings for us all. Thank you for the last 5 years Emma, as always-I wish you well, I'm rooting for you, and I know you'll be great no matter what. We will miss you!❤️
