Our Story

Thank you for visiting our page. Rustic Timbers Venue is a veteran owned business ran by Bob and Kim. Bob is retired Air force who served our great country for 32 years. Kim was a wedding photographer for 12 years. Once Bob knew retirement was in his future, he shared his dream of moving back to the country. At this same time I shared my dream to move my focus from photography to a wedding venue. We put our home in Wichita up for sale. The same day we received a contract on our home the property that we now own came on the market. We instantly knew it was a sign from God. We've had a rocky start due to the neighborhood, but we know this is God's plan for us. We continue to be strong in this dream and let God continue to fight the battle for us. Our focus is to provide a fairy tale wedding through our natural surroundings. The vintage rustic barn adds to this, but is not the focus. We do not want to be known as "party barn", but rather as a nature garden which provides a beautiful place for a ceremony. The west side of Sedgwick county didn’t have many options and we are proud to offer our wedding venue for those in Clearwater, Kingman, Conway Springs, Goddard, Cheney, Garden Plain, Wichita, Derby, Augusta, Haysville and other surrounding areas. We thank God, our family and friends, all our past and future clients, their families, and guest for the love and support you have provided along the way. Without this village we would not survive.
