The Rustic Venues by Fat Albert's BBQ is holding a bridal extravaganza this weekend so I've been blowing up balloons and getting ready to see all you beautiful brides. Let's talk balloons for your big day! It's the new trend and I absolutely adore it!

We had so much fun putting this theme together for a baby shower over the weekend. A little cutie is on the way and she will be here in a month of Sundays.

We had an eventful weekend getting to put up this balloon display for a 90th Birthday Celebration.
Also, fresh floral arrangements are in the cooler. Or come in and design your own bouquet!

Hello Everyone! We had such a nice turnout for our soft opening yesterday and thank each and every one of you who came out to support us.
I just wanted to take a minute to tell everyone a little about myself. If you don't know me Hi! My name is DeAngela Dawn and I'm the DD in DD's Balloonery and More. I was born and raised in Virden, Illinois as was my husband of 27 years. We have 5 grown children and 7 grandchildren, oh and one grand pup named Benny.
My children never wanted for a cool fun themed birthday party growing up and over the years, and as our family expanded into bridal showers, weddings, baby showers, grandbaby birthday parties and the like I found my passion. I love to make things beautiful and will go to any length to make a vision come to pass

However, I was always afraid of popping balloons and took way to much time deflating each one. Until one week I had two birthday parties back to back and I went overboard on the balloon decor (I'm extra) for the first one and had about 250 balloons to pop. I started out like always but quickly realized that was going to take way to much time. I talked myself into popping the balloons and the rest is history! I was over my fear.

DD's Balloonery and More began to fester in the back of my mind. I knew I wanted to start an event planning business, but I also wanted to include my floral design elements and then the balloons became an obsession. So, we have DD's Balloonery and More.

I cannot wait to help everyone with their party planning and balloon decorations here in our community and hope to expand outward from here. So, if you have an event coming up, need some guidance, want fresh flowers or a balloon bouquet for your Mom, I'm your gal and I look forward to working with all of you.

I will be posting some of my past set ups that I've done over the years and as new things come to pass I will share all of them with you (permission given of course).

And, Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad's !

Get ready for an action-packed day in downtown Virden tomorrow! We will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. After you savor your pork chop sandwich from the firemen, come visit us and then check out the spectacular car show. Don't forget to explore the city-wide garage sales as well!

The front window display for Valentines Day is what opened the door for our 2 businesses to join together. I had went in to ask Amy if I could do a balloon display in her window just as advertising for me. When she asked me if I wanted to open up in that local with her, I was beyond thrilled and knew this is where DD's is supposed to be. I look forward to seeing everyone in the shop!

I recently added a little St. Patrick's Day balloon install at the shop.
I will be opening up inside Oh So Cute Boutique in the near future. As of March 11th Oh So Cute will be closed until the Grand Opening!

I'm excited to announce that DD's Balloonery and more... is coming to town!
I'll be opening up on the square,in the old flower shop which is now Oh-So Cute Boutique . Amy and I will be teaming up to bring you fun in fashion and fresh balloon designs.
I will be posting for the business over on my page, DD'S Balloonery and more... and am thrilled to start this new journey and look forward to working in our community.
A grand opening date will be announced in the near future.
