I’m a bit of an introvert. A home body. A lover of books. A nurturer a heart.

To be honest, I prefer a night at home to a night on the town. So, it seems a little weird that I host parties all the time.
 
But, to me, gatherings are really about caring for people. They’re about making people feel welcomed, accepted, and authentic. They’re about understanding each other and lifting each other up. They’re about helping someone feel a little brighter, lighter, and more joyful than when they came.
 
Today, as I scroll through my news feed, the world seems out of synch. Wildly out of synch.

But as I look around our community, I see the simple ways we care for each other -a smile, a hug, a door opened. And as I watch the magic unfold on another celebration, I see real warmth and connectivity. And it reminds me that kindness is very much alive.

Being part of the Hampton Roads community is an honor and a privilege and it is an incredible place to call home. 💞
