After working side by side for years with their respective catering and gourmet meal-delivery businesses in Virginia Beach, Catherine Gettier and Patrick McBrayer learned that they share the same passion for food, friends, and family. It was then they decided to create a local market to share their culinary experiences with fellow VB ‘foodies’. We offer gourmet artisan sandwiches, prepared meals,

The Bourdain! Named after the famous Anthony bordain , this sandwich is STACKED like no other. Not only does it have delicious prosciutto, but thinly sliced zucchini, a vegetable tapenade, mixed greens, with goat cheese and a fig spread on grilled sourdough. If you haven’t tried this monster sandwich…. You’re missing out!!

Patrick is a distinguished culinary professional with a rich background in fine dining and healthcare. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, he honed his skills at renowned establishments such as The Pebble Beach Resort, The Grill in the Ritz Carlton Philadelphia, and 10 ARTS under the mentorship of 3 Michelin Star Chef, Eric Ripert. Inspired by his deep-rooted passion for culinary craftsmanship and his compassionate spirit, Patrick took the bold step of founding Foodies The Locals’ Market.
At Foodies The Locals’ Market, the focus is on simplicity and purity. Free from additives and chemicals, every ingredient is carefully selected to reflect the essence of clean, wholesome eating. We want to keep our community in lock and make sure everyone knows our new hours of operation. We will be closed on Sunday and Mondays but the rest of the week we are here 10 am to 5 pm! If you haven’t been to foodies before, the least I can say is you’re missing out! Come on out and try our new sandwich options as well as our display case that has dinners already prepared, for the days you don’t want to cook, we got your back!!
