Myrick Park Wedding in La Crosse, Wisconsin with Pink Spruce Photography
SNEAK PEEK BLOG POST | Laura + Connor
https://pinksprucephotography.com/myrick-park-wedding-in-la-crosse-wisconsin-laura-connor/
Laura and Connor held a Myrick Park wedding in La Crosse Wisconsin. The nature center provided the perfect backdrop for their fall wedding.
The day started with getting ready at The Radisson along the river in downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin. The couple was so smart in booking a conference room because it provided plenty of space (crucial these days in hosting a wedding during the Covid pandemic).
We then took the couple to the bridge adjacent to International Friendship Gardens where they had their first look. It is the place where the two took their first selfie together – which they recreated on my phone!
Although cloudy (and rainy!) by the end of the evening, the sun provided us some glow during the day to complete the group portraits and it really helped to highlight the beautiful colors that were still present at Myrick Park.
Laura and Connor provided everything possible to help keep their guests safe – including custom face masks (which was nice that everyone was coordinated in all of the photos), plenty of hand sanitizer, and color coded wrist bands to help folks know how much distance you’d prefer they keep. The couple even used hand sanitizer between each and every person during their receiving line!
For favors, which also paired as place cards, Laura and Connor gave each guest a little jar of the maple syrup the two of them tapped earlier in the year. PS, it is VERY tasty!
Fun fact about Laura's dress (which I was OBSESSED with, one of my favorites for sure), she had her seamstress add the sheer panel and buttons up the back. It was the perfect addition to a low cut back dress - something to consider if you have a similar style.
Congratulations to Connor and Laura. There were so many amazing moments throughout the day, and I had a really hard time narrowing down while choosing sneak peeks, but definitely make sure t
Fall Engagement Session at Upper Hixon Forest · Emily + Austin | La Crosse Wi Engagement Session
I had a blast discovering a new (to me) location with Emily and Austin. They opted for a fall engagement session at Upper Hixon Forest. This year has definitely been a trend towards La Crosse WI engagement session locations. Unique ones at that and I am not mad about it! As I explained to Emily and Austin, I will find THE light at whatever location we host the session at. Because of this, more and more of my couples are choosing engagement session locales that are meaningful to them and let me work my magic. I am also not mad about this.
----- Why your Outfit and Accessories Matter -----
Emily and Austin are also a great example of how accessories can completely elevate your session outcome. This is especially true when sticking to just one outfit. I had so much variety to work with! Accessories including Emily’s hat, a fall scarf, a blanket, and (the best accessory) a bottle of champagne.
----- Say YES to the Dress for your Session -----
Also, can we just take a minute to appreciate their outfit choices. Emily was a drop-dead stunner in her long, flowy dress. Austin was completely handsome and pulled together (yet casual enough) with a neat and tidy button up shirt paired with jeans. To emphasize – say YES to the dress for your engagement session. The flowy nature of the dress provided movement to their photos you just cannot replicate otherwise.
Congrats to Emily and Austin! I had a blast during your fall engagement session and I am definitely looking forward to your wedding next year!
Winnebago Springs Wedding in Caledonia, Minnesota | McKennah + Jacob

Winnebago Springs Wedding in Caledonia, MN
https://pinksprucephotography.com/wedding-at-winnebago-springs-mckennah-jacob-caledonia-mn-wedding-photographer/
McKennah and Jacob chose to hold their navy and wine, rustic fall wedding at Winnebago Springs in Caledonia Minnesota.
The day started by getting ready in two of the newly renovated cabins (they were gorgeous) and was then followed by a ceremony in the open air chapel. The reception space featured the new permanent draping and chandeliers which the couple chose to enhance by using rustic lanterns and eucalyptus to decorate. The couple also rented a couch and plush velvet, navy chair to use during portraits. Not only were we able to get in a golden glow session, but the couple also joined us for a night shot that we set up in the altar space (it was pitch black in there, just how we like it for night shots).
McKennah chose a mermaid style dress that had such beautiful movement at the bottom, even when bustled. Jacob's attire featured the navy and wine color scheme which he then topped off with some great accessories. Enjoy this look at McKennah and Jacob's wedding day!

Family Farm Wedding in Fountain City Wisconsin
SNEAK PEEK BLOG POST | Bethany + Ethan

Bethany and Ethan pivoted last minute to a family farm wedding in Fountain City Wisconsin because of Covid. Therefore, the couple hustled and renovated the family farm property in just a couple of months. I hope they turn this into a venue because it was amazing!
Ethan works for a local implement dealer, so (naturally) there were a few tractor “props” for me to use. I promised him some of the photos would end up in their sneak peek gallery because he said he needed a new Facebook timeline cover photo (I got you, Ethan). Sunflowers stole the show within the bouquets and greenery was incorporated throughout the day’s decor. Also, the wedding party traveled by wagon to a family member’s property for a photo opp with a really sweet barn.
Although the rain held off, it was a pretty cloudy day. I reassured Bethany and Ethan they would still have a spectacular gallery. That even without a sunny glow, we were going to get some really cool shots incorporating the most epic cloudy sky. They hung in there with me and nailed it during their evening session.

Allen Centennial Gardens Wedding at The Llivingston Inn | Camille + Jacob

Camille and Jacob considered adjusting their Madison Wisconsin wedding due to Covid. However, they chose their venues for very specific reasons. Therefore, they decided to adjust their guest list and take additional precautions. They were able to have a (safe) wedding in the places they had dreamed of. The couple said their vows in at an Allen Centennial Gardens wedding ceremony which was followed by a celebration of the wedding at The Livingston Inn in Madison, Wisconsin. Catering was provided by Le Personal Chef and decor rentals were provided by Event Essentials.
All of the wedding florals and decor were DIY’d. The vintage glass jars used for table decor were found buried in a garden area at the couple’s home! The bride DIY’d the place cards using dried florals and her sister added the calligraphy. Grandma surprised the bride with family heirloom pearl jewelry to wear and the pieces turned out to be the perfect finishing touches for Camille’s attire.

Cedar Creek Country Club Wedding
SNEAK PEEK POST | KARA + DAVID
https://pinksprucephotography.com/wedding-at-cedar-creek-country-club-onalaska-wisconsin-wedding-photographer-kara-david/
.
Because of Covid, Kara and David had no other choice but to change their original wedding day plans. However, this particular date truly meant the world to them and thus, they decided to move forward with a more intimate wedding setting on a beautifully memorable day in August. David’s father helped officiate at The English Lutheran Church in La Crosse, Wisconsin, then the couple held their wedding at Cedar Creek Country Club in Onalaska, Wisconsin. The sentimental value was through the roof for this elegant affair as Kara and David were surrounded by so much love both in person and in spirit.
I know how special it is for me to be present at each and every wedding these days as I know couples are having to cut their guest lists down due to Covid. It makes it even more important for me to capture all of those moments they can then later share by way of their wedding photography.
I am so proud of what Kara and David accomplished in planning for their day and it was such an honor to witness.

ELOPEMENT AT JUSTIN TRAILS RESORT · ELIZABETH + ROBERT | SPARTA WISCONSIN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
SNEAK PEEK BLOG POST | LIZA + BOB

Liza and Bob held their elopement at Justin Trails Resort in Sparta Wisconsin. They had this small gathering planned from the start! Although they changed their original date due to Covid, they said their “I Dos” on a beautiful June day. They were able to get married in just the way they had envisioned. I had a blast exploring the resort with this pair and their dog, Max. He is literally the cutest little peanut there ever was.
The couple were married under a big beautiful tree just outside of their quaint log cabin that they were using for their accommodations. Liza did tell me right away in the day that there was a flowering tree at the top of the hill she would love to take pictures by and my heart was exploding (who doesn’t love a flowering tree)? Their pup Max stole the show and couldn’t be away from his mom or dad, so with his teeny legs he HAULED it around the resort with us. Bob’s mom brilliantly made their cake and the surrounding display. It was such a sweet moment watching her gift this to Liza and Bob. Enjoy this look at their big day!

This may not have been the day Kassie and Austin set out to have when they started planning their June wedding, however they took Covid’s plans in stride and were able to have a beautifully small and intimate micro wedding. They were surrounded by their parents, brother, and photos of their loved ones (in the seats they would have occupied) and said their I Dos at the family church. We then headed to Grandad Bluff in La Crosse Wisconsin for a toast with their family and to capture some portraits. Please enjoy the following highlight video and sneak peek photos from their day.
