So much to be grateful for at our clubhouse this season!!

We were blessed tonight with a special group of guests for our annual Christmas dinner & fundraiser 🎄☃️

Heartfelt thank you to all who came tonight ! It was our pleasure to host you !

12/12/2024

Take a look. Father Christmas will be back for the Lights at Paradise event on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM! Take time to meet with Father Christmas, take a picture, hot cocoa by Church of Christ at Treaty, take a sleigh tram ride and enjoy the beautiful lights displayed throughout the park.

Trolley No.85 will run from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with stops at Charley Creek Gardens, the Woman's Club House, and back to Paradise Spring Park.

What a wonderful time to take a stroll and enjoy the lights that so many wonderful companies have sponsored. Thank you to the Wabash Street Department and Wabash City Park Department for the installation of all the complex tasks.

A heartfelt thank you to the following organizations as without their help the walking light tour would not be possible.

Something exciting is being shared with you all and we can’t wait to showcase this “one of a kind” piece of art, Created by Artisans Dan and Marlene Coble.

The Coble’s have been creating paintings of one-of-a-kind painted furniture and accessories for over 40 years.

“We use antique, quality vintage, and newly built furniture as the "canvas" for our paint decoration.

Our styles are inspired by the rich traditions of paint decoration in
America and include grain painting, stencil decoration and free-hand painting.

We also offer prints from our original artwork.

This Americana piece is a one of a kind hand painted creation on an early 20th century tilt-top table, a central column, raised on 3 cabriole stye legs.

The surface is motivational with an American eagle design, reflecting our freedom and strength. The top surface is durable, but for display looks astonishing tilted-up!

On to our next Board member!

Joyce Tschantz has been with us now a couple years! She brings many talents to the table from sewing, organizing , and just plain showing up to lend a hand makes for a great board member!

“After my 40 year career in banking, I was left with time for other social interests!
I believe in the Womans Clubhouse outreach , a beautiful place for fellowship and to learn it is available to everyone !
I was involved with Wabash garden club until Covid ended the group.

Now my love for quilting takes me to Nancy J’s store, where I have went with her to many quilt shows, plus I still make shop models for her store!

My husband, husband, Dick, and I attend Wabash friends church and live here in Wabash”.
-Joyce

Thank you Joyce for all you do!!

Woman’s Club House 1889-2019: 130 Years!

The Woman's Clubhouse Association is the keeper of this historic building located at 770 W. Hill St. Wabash, Indiana. Built in 1889 as an orphanage, it became the first hospital for Wabash County in 1903. When the hospital moved, a crusade, lead by Mrs. Jessie Beitman, began to secure the building as a meeting place for woman, organizations, and the community. The Clubhouse offered art exhibits, musical recitals, educational programs and many social activities to Wabash. A food service program helped to keep the clubhouse running. In the day, it was the place to come.

Today there is a renewed interest in the mission of the Clubhouse to preserve the historic landmark building, to educate about the importance of our architectural history and to provide a large range of services and programs that meet the changing needs of today. The Woman's Clubhouse is one of only 3 of its type still functioning in the state of Indiana under its original charter and in its original building.

The House is available for daily rental fee to clubs, businesses and private individuals for meetings or events. It has a fully equipped kitchen for your use when renting the building or you may cater your event with our in house chefs. With an extensive menu to accommodate all themes and occasions, we will be happy to showcase our talents for you.
