My sister, Melinda Hughart, reached out to me about doing a fundraiser for a relative of hers on the Hughart side of the family. This lovely young lady, Miss Lindsay Clark, has been experiencing health issues for quite a few years now. Her complications have required her and family to travel to the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix for multiple surgeries, as that is where only one of two surgeons in the US are trained for these types of surgeries.

This has created major hospital expenses, as well as travel and living expenses on these trips, which normally last weeks on end. Our two lovely Bingo Babes, Claire Edgmon and Eloween Winslow pictured below, have teamed up to host a Bingo Fundraiser for a young lady, Teal Esmeyer from Owasso. Below is Teal’s story. It’s my honor to introduce you to Teal and her story!

Hi, I’m Teal Esmeyer, and I’m 7 years old. I live in Owasso with my dad, mom, little brother Judd, and dogs Lucy and Rozy. I like to swim and play golf. I am an artist and love drawing and painting. However, playing with my dogs and my brother are probably my favorite things to do.

Teal’s story:
A large tumor was found in Teal’s brain in August 2023 on her third day of 1st grade. She was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma. A second tumor was found a few weeks later. She had her first brain surgery locally and was accepted to St. Jude shortly after to continue treatment. She then underwent a second brain surgery on the first tumor and 7 weeks of radiation for both tumors. A few weeks after her second surgery, she had her first seizure, which left her with multiple deficits, the greatest ones being memory loss and aphasia. Teal returned to first grade in January but continues to travel to St. Jude every 3 weeks for treatment. Teal has spent months both fighting these tumors and working hard to recover her function. Her hard work, determination, and resilience is unmatched.

I met this little gem at the Wagoner Chamber After Hours social networking event at Pizza Port on Thursday. This is miss Phoenix Lewis. She is the daughter of Ciera Lewis, who works at the Chamber.

We bonded while the girls were talking. She has beautiful eyes and a big smile. As I was holding and rocking her, she put her head against my cheek and fell asleep.

What a great ending to my day....

** Wedding Referral Program **

Up till now, we have been advertising our business through every option outside of renting a big billboard, radio and TV ads. We are now seeing that a lot of our bookings are coming from referrals. People like you, who have been out here for an event. People tell us all the time, how they tell everyone about us. We greatly appreciate that and know that is a big reason for our success.

So, with the economy the way it is, instead of paying for more social media ads, we came up with the idea to start a Wedding Referral Program. If you know of a couple engaged to be married, tell them to come see us. If they book a wedding, we will ask them who referred them. If they give us your name, for a Full Day wedding, we will give you $200. If it is a Micro Wedding, you will get $100. Everyone is eligible to participate.

That’s right, up to $200 for just simply a referral, for 5 seconds of work. If you want to call that work. The easiest money you will ever make. Who couldn’t use some extra cash these days? I have Amazon, FedEx and UPS coming here every week, Lord knows I could use some extra cash. All the details and restrictions are in the attached flyer.
