Tickets are now available to the public for HUG YOUR FARMER: A NIGHT AT THE OPRY, presented by Select Design! This benefit series will take place on November 22nd. Doors open at 7:30 PM, showtime is 8 PM. 100% of proceeds will go to The Vermont Community Foundation's Flood Response and Recovery efforts. Last year, this event raised over $200,000. Inspired by the legends of country music and the iconic Grand Ole Opry, the evening will showcase performances by Mike & Tessa Gordon, Kat Wright, Ryan Montbleau, Rich Price (of The Sweet Remains), Brett Hughes, Joshua Panda, Lowell Thompson, Nicole Nelson, Dwight Richter, Pappy Biondo, Matt Hagen and more. The Hug Your Farmer house band, led by Bob Wagner (guitar), includes Josh Weinstein (bass), Steve Hadeka (drums), Leon Campos (keys), Caleb Elder (fiddle), Matt Flinner (mandolin) and Brett Lanier (pedal steel). Guest musicians will include Ben Lively (fiddle), Tony Naples (pedal steel), Marie Claire (keys) and Pat Melvin (bass).

We are so excited to be hosting Soul Alchemy: a Full Day Retreat w/ Stina of Rooted Yoga. Find all the details in the post below. Lodging for this very special event is being offered at a special rate with the code revealed in the sign up process.

Portals for dipping your toes into your soul’s alchemy await… our next retreat is officially happening on JUNE 1 in Waitsfield !
This retreat will have a full day planned, beginning around 10 and ending around 4-ish.
Stina leads, asking you to immerse yourself in a transformative experience that will leave your mind, body and spirit nourished, aligned and feeling bathed in bliss.
Our day will consist of an energetically aligned yoga practice to move stagnant energy and create space in our hearts and minds so we may be an open vessel for our day together. will provide a healing sound bath that will release tension and invite a sense of renewal while Stina provides group reiki during this experience. A fully catered, nourishing lunch with options for all preferences, followed by dessert will fill us back up and allow us time to connect with each other before we head outside. There will be time to connect in nature as we will build a mandala together using found materials from our natural environment. We will have other group activities woven in throughout the day, so please just show up with an open heart and mind and allow your cup to be filled!
There will be more communication going out about this event after you sign up so we can best prepare an immersive experience that will give you exactly what you need. You will have time to communicate any dietary restrictions, allergies, etc. as well as ask questions and connect.

We’re ready, are you? Mad River Valley will be in the path of totality. We’re so excited, yet so humbled by this. Where will you be when the sun goes hiding?

We're two months away from the total solar eclipse, which will darken the sky over much of Vermont on April 8. The southern end of the path runs from Middlebury to Barre to St. Johnsbury and then extends north past the Canadian border. Keeping The Inn at the Round Barn Farm theme going, here's a faraway perspective from this month's first solid snowstorm. Big flakes fell throughout the day and drenched the Mad River Valley in their soft, white embrace — while the yellow pop from the round barn brightened the almost monochrome world.

Vermont has finally had some lovely snow days, and it's been a pleasure to get out and explore. The Inn at the Round Barn Farm in the Mad River Valley provided the perfect pop of color amidst an otherwise monotone day while the flakes flew and transformed the landscape under a blanket of white.

Red isn't the only color of Vermont barn that stands out exquisitely against the backdrop of a snowy day. How about this masterpiece in the Mad River Valley: the sunshine-yellow of The Inn at the Round Barn Farm? This Waitsfield venue offers accommodations, a restaurant and an event space in what it says is one of Vermont's five remaining round barns.
