As we are enjoying our fall weddings, we have also been doing a large number of tours and bookings for next year and beyond. One question that almost always comes up is what separates The Venue at Rocking V from some of the other comparable venues around? So I thought this would be a good time to share some of our unique features. And by the way; there are a lot of outstanding venues around and many times it comes down to the style you are looking for.
1. Our location. For those looking for a country atmosphere. We are located on a working horse ranch amongst the rolling hills just south of Topeka Kansas. So it’s the best of both worlds; a country setting but close to the city for all of its amenities with easy paved access to major surrounding roads and highways.
2. Our decor; we designed The Venue to have a rustic chic decor with a simple elegant charm from our beautiful lighting to the use of repurposed materials from a 160 year old barn. Most agree it doesn’t need a lot of decorating. We also have to mention the gorgeous linenless aluminum tables that are so attractive linens generally aren’t used.
3. Our spacious open layout that can accommodate up to 250 guests without requiring a “room flip”. Plenty of room for dinner, dancing, and just hanging out, all of which is ADA compliant.
4. Freedom to choose your favorite vendors. While some venues require you to use their specified vendors at an increased cost, we allow you to pick your own including providing your own beverages.
5. Evening before option is available for rehearsal and decorating.
6. As with most venues, we have a beautiful brides room but we also have an equally impressive grooms room for them to hang out and relax as well.
