I have 2 people in my life with different food diets. One is vegan, the other is gluten-free. We will discuss vegan options on a later post, but today, let's tackle gluten-free tea party food options.

Gluten is a protein found in certain grains, like wheat, barley, and rye, that helps give structure and texture to foods. It is commonly found in bread, pasta, sauces, salad dressings, and more. Though gluten is safe for most people, it can cause severe stomach issues in those with a gluten intolerance.
Today, there are many popular food items that have gluten-free versions.
If you are preparing food yourself, carefully check all ingredients, to ensure they are certified gluten-free. During the making of food items, I insert a toothpick or put gluten-free items in a specially marked container, to avoid cross contamination. When prepping day of party, I set aside a tiered stand with a ribbon on handle, and only place known gluten free items on that stand.

Savories and sandwiches:

Can be placed on gluten free bread or crackers, or scooped on piece of iceberg lettuce, as a wrap. Corn tortillas can be served as a vehicle for certain spreads as well.
Hummus, bruschetta, egg salad, and chicken salad, all can be made gluten free, placed on gluten-free croissants, toast/crackers.
Crustless quiches or frittatas.
Tabouleh in a cup.
English cucumber slice on herbed cheese on gluten free bread.
Avocado toast, with mashed avocado, salt, lemon, thinly sliced cherry tomato on top, with cilantro, on gluten-free toast.
Veggies and dip cup.

Scones:

You can make gluten-free scones from scratch, or there different mixes available, and serve with clotted cream and gluten-free jam.

Desserts:

Naturally gluten-free desserts, like Macarons and Meringues.
Pure chocolate squares (not chocolate candy bars).
Berries
There are many gluten-free mixes available at grocery stores if you'd like to make yourself.
You can find gluten free items of cupcakes, cookies, muffins, and doughnuts at grocery stores and bakeries. Make sure to read all labels to be certain.

If you'd like a bit of help with your gluten-free items, most restaurants and eateries nowadays, offer gluten free options in both savories and desserts.

With this plan in hand, you'll have delicious gluten-free items that your guests will appreciate and love!

We believe there's always a good reason to enjoy tea, but is it Afternoon Tea or High Tea?

The Afternoon Tea is thought of a relaxing, refined experience. It was originally designed as a light snack to bridge the gap between breakfast and dinner. It evolved into a social and elegant affair, often served on china and beautiful linens.
It is a lighter meal, featuring dainty tea sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, a variety of pastries, cakes, flavored teas.

The High Tea is thought of a substantial meal in a more casual atmosphere. It was traditionally a full meal intended for the working class, taken at the end of the workday. The meal would be more heartier that includes, meat pies, and cold meats and cheeses, bread and butter, and usually black tea.

Whichever style suits your event, we can help provide all the elements you need to create your perfect tea party!

A garden tea party offers a unique opportunity to slow down and embrace the natural beauty of greenery and your outdoor surroundings. Here are a few suggestions if hosting one.
🪴Don't have a garden? A porch, deck, or balcony may be transformed into a picturesque environment, by adding a variety of potted plants and flowers to the area.
A lace tablecloth or lace overlays, will add a touch of elegance to your garden.
🫖A tea party wouldn't be a tea party without the use of mismatched plates and teacups. Vintage treasures instantly brings smiles to your tables. And what charming conversation starters!
🕯Mason jars filled with fairy lights, light up votives or candelabras all bring a warm glow to the affair.
👒Provide tea party hats and fascinators for fun touch!
💐Floral arrangements are a must! Use teapots instead of vases for your flowers. Then place your teapot vase on a few books to give it height and visual interest. You could also use numerous smaller vases to place throughout the center of the table. Both look absolutely lovely.
🎼Have an instrumental music playlist and an outdoor speaker set up for background music. There are songs in the Bridgerton Series that I just love for a tea party!
Hosting a garden tea party is your chance to bring people together to enjoy the beauty of nature and one another. However your "garden" begins, it will be the perfect backdrop for memories that will last a lifetime!
