Our Event Specialists are the first in line when it comes to excellent customer
service. As an Event Specialist, you will be responsible for answering the phone to take
and manage customer orders and concerns. You will be representing Camelot Special
Events to the customer and will thus be expected to provide high quality customer service
to all clients. You will consult customers regarding our inventory, pricing, and
procedures. Your communication and organizational skills are paramount to the success
of each event and the company as a whole.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Answer email and phone inquiries; create and update customer orders
-Consult with customers to determine event and rental requirements
-Become familiar with rental equipment inventory
-Prepare and follow up on customer quotes
-Inform customers about rental equipment relevant to their events
-Maintain customer relationships and acquire new business
-Create and update driver schedules and packing lists daily
-Maintain and update sales inventory
-Provide excellent customer service to clients
-Support and educate clients based on their event rental needs
-Learn the Camelot database software
-Maintain the customer database
-Manage customer payments and accounts receivable
-Assist with the packing and mailing of online sales orders
-Coordinate sub rentals when necessary
-Coordinate with vendors to place orders for company purchases
-Provide support to other employees and coworkers
-Maintain detailed and accurate records of all files
-Manage site permitting for tent installations
-Update the company calendar
-Provide feedback for operational improvements
Skills and Requirements:
- Sales or customer service experience (in the event rental industry) preferred
- Bachelor degree or 1-3 years related industry experience is a positive but not
required
- Dedication to customer service
- Willingness to learn
- Experience with or general knowledge of special events preferred
- Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
- Must be willing to contribute to the growth and improvement of the company
- Willingness to take initiative
- Demonstrated ability to be adaptable
- Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
