Thank you all for your support over these last 6 years. I’m appreciative for every client I was blessed with, every friendor that I gained, and every special occasion I was a part of. 🎉

With that said, I have decided to close for a while. It was a very tough but necessary decision. I will be shifting my focus in the event industry but before I move into my next venture, I need to work on filling my cup back up first. I debated on whether I was going to make an official announcement but I couldn’t leave without a proper farewell…well more like see you later. 😉

How are you all doing? Welcome to my new followers! I’m so glad you’re here! 😘 Thank you to those that give your genuine and constant support of Nicky Loves Events.☺️ It does not go unnoticed. I just wanted to stop by and check-in and provide a few updates.

As most of you know, I am closed for the remainder of 2021. I’m so grateful to have been a part of some very special occasions this year! It was a joy to see folks gather together again to celebrate 🎉

🥳 2022 EVENTS 🥳
First, thank you to those that have already inquired about your events next year! I will be accepting bookings for 2022 starting November 1st. Please note, that I have restructured my event pricing and I have also created an Event Inquiry Form that is linked in my bio. I will require this form to be completed before ANY communication takes place regarding your event. This form will assist me in having a clear vision of what your desires are for your event and in turn I will be able to provide you with a realistic event budget.

🚨EVENT TIMEFRAMES🚨
While I understand the uncertainties as it relates to COVID-19, early and proper planning is a must for a successful and stress free event. With that said, I will be enforcing my event planning timeframes. They are as follows:
• Full Planning: 6-12 months
• Event Coordinator: 6-9 months
• Design & Dècor: 3-6 months
• Dessert Buffet: 2-3 months
Absolutely NO last minute events will be accepted going forward. 🤷‍♀️

Welcome to the Carnival 🎡 🎪

Outdoor events require a whole lot more work and effort and boy does it bring on a little more stress. 😩 The week of the party they were calling for 60% chance of rain, storms and gusty winds. I was on the main line like 🙏🏼🥺
The rain held off but the heat came with a vengeance 🔥🥵. It takes a whole lot of patience to pull off an event outside while fighting against the elements.

Welp! The weather was perfect, the birthday boy was happy, and I got a tan and lost a few pounds 😆.

I used to question myself when people would tell me that I’m too expensive. Then I realized the true value of my work.

Let’s take a glimpse at what “too expensive” looks like.
• Having multiple conversations with vendors to design the event to ensure the vision is fulfilled.
• Searching for the perfect props, rentals, decorations, linen, flatware, centerpieces, etc for the event.
• Driving back and forth to multiple locations.
• Receiving numerous text messages and phone calls from your client.
• Preparing, assembling, washing, steaming items to produce a quality event.
• Having to lift, push, and be on your feet for hours while sometimes working on an empty stomach.
• Waking up early and staying up late.
• After an 8+ hour day setting up and having to go back to break down.
• Having a fully aching body for the next few days after an event.

Everyone’s idea of “expensive” is different. For the most part, a person’s opinion is determined by their income and/or how much they are willing to invest. How much does your special occasion mean to you? How much are the memories worth to you? How much is quality worth to you?

A necessity as “an indispensable thing” – something that everyone needs.

A luxury is “an inessential, desirable item that is expensive or difficult to obtain.”

Having a party is a luxury. A luxury is something that’s desirable (not required) and expensive (not cheap). Like many others in the event industry, I’m constantly told by potential clients that they don’t know how much things cost. Simply put, having an event cost money and lots of it. When you decide to have a party, this means that you can afford the luxury of having one outside of your monthly and day-to-day expenses. Not to mention the cost of hiring a professional planner or decorator to provide services. There is a price for quality results as well 😉

Please be realistic with your financial situation and by all means PLAN EARLY. Remember, the bigger the vision you have for your event the more money your event will cost.💸

Early planning allows for proper budgeting.
