Guess how many times one of the partners waits until the night before the wedding to write their wedding vows?
I can’t exactly give you an accurate statistic because they won’t admit it. Let’s just say I’ve seen this a lot .
So much, in fact, that I realized some people just don’t know how to write their own wedding vows. In my vow journal, which you can buy on Amazon, there are prompts, writing tips, and even ideas on how to structure your vows. Plus, the book looks nice enough to carry it to the altar with you.
Plus, you could read it on your anniversary, or use those sentiments in the coming years to write your anniversary cards!

I I’ve been officiating since 2017 and so far I still get teary when I read over the love story questionnaires.
I sent out google forms with a five question survey that are just open ended questions about the relationship. It’s seriously so sweet and it puts me in a great headspace to write a romantic ceremony!

I would say of all of these tips, probably the most important are to make sure the wedding is actually recorded and get out of the way for the kiss!The recording office should send you the paperwork back if there was a mistake. This happened to me once so at least I know they really do look over everything. Typically there’s not very much communication between me and the recording office so I just like to touch base with them for my own peace of mind. I am a modern woman but I’m also diplomatic. It’s important to honor the families or at least make important family members *feel* honored. I have known couples who merely ask the parents for the blessing just to be polite. If the parents had said no, they still would’ve gotten married.
