Today when I asked for clarification about teacher restroom procedures, this is what I was told. Call the office for someone to cover your room; if busy, call the instructional coach's office(people in another hallway); if busy, contact a counselor; if busy, call an assistant principal. But by no means can you call the person across the hall from you to have them watch your room. Excuse me? 4 phone calls to p*e!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you serious? This is over the top. I not only need to take me, but also navigate around a service animal. This is over the top. I just can’t even. By the time I get all the calls in I will wet my pants like a toddler. And this is the procedure for all of the teacher on my campus! Shut it! Then hire someone to give restroom breaks.
