And our 2024 season has (finally) commenced! It was a long break, and while I missed being in full wedding mode it’s been nice to embrace the slower season and really focus on my family. With two toddlers still at home I was able to really be present. I’m going to miss our carefree weekends but boy I am so glad to be back doing what I love! I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect couple to kick-off my season! // It also helped to have a sweet vendor team to bring it all together! //

Today and always I am thankful for so many things. For my husband. My three beautiful babes. My family. My friends. My fitness community. My health. My business. My vendor friends. And of course my amazing couples, both past and present. I continue to be so grateful for your trust, friendship and partnership, to create the most magical and memorable days. Because of you I get to do what I love everyday. Happy thanksgiving!

Some of my favorite moments to witness are when the bride and her special gals get a few minutes to be fun and silly before the ceremony starts. The way to achieve this you ask? Build out the timeline with plenty of getting ready time and an extra pocket of time before the ceremony for last minute photo ideas, a few minutes for the wedding party or couple to soak it all in before the craziness begins! It really sets the tone for a relaxed day!

Another sneak peek landed in my inbox and it is jaw dropping! This wedding happened to fall on the day before our winter storm and we lucked out with only the most magical misting. It wasn’t quite raining and it wasn’t quite sprinkling. The coupe decided to ride it out and the photos just don’t do it justice. I know we’ve been a little quiet over here - see previously post for the obvious reasons, hehe, but we couldn’t wait any longer to share a sneak peek from this stunning wedding in Carmel Valley. The weather was absolutely gorgeous (the weekend before the 24 hour rain storm) and meant everything for my beautiful Chicago couple who chose dreamy for their wedding. // This one was extra special since S+D booked me in early 2019. We planned for over a year and then Covid hit. And we postponed for another year. 2.5 years they held on (we may have cried together), but they finally were married! // Thanks to for physically being present on their wedding day! Where did January go? Can’t believe it’s February 1st already and this photo shoot was a year ago 😩 My how times have changed! // We wish we were able to celebrate with our friends and have a Valentine’s Day party at school, but we will deliver little goodies to our friends instead 💜 And this year to help make it a little special for Emma we made family mailboxes and each day until the 14th will leave a little note or small treat for each other (and I may or may not have picked out a few things for Emma to put in mine, haha! ♥️ // 📷: //

In fact reducing your guest count allows you to splurge on all the little details! Remember, it’s not the size of your wedding that makes it special. Happy Friday! We are strolling into this weekend just like this couple strolled into their reception! // This week went by so fast and we’re not mad about it! We worked on some fun new projects, started talking with 2021 couples about their wedding (and it didn’t include canceling or postponing) and we are taking a little trip to visit family! A change of scenery is so refreshing every once in a while! //
Pro Tip: If you are thinking about doing a send-off and sparklers aren’t allowed there are other options like this couple who had ribbon and a bell tied to a dowel.
