I was raised to get your money’s worth. So we try to repurpose every single flower.

This one is hot off the press from So Young and Daniel’s wedding in early July during that lovely heat wave.

I knew how important it was for them to have an outdoor ceremony, so we made some wise flower swaps, kept them well hydrated, and used good mechanics for the arch flowers so they could last until the evening. Thankful for my amazing team and all the vendors who killed it that day! 🔥

What actually happens
💡 Hours of careful planning months before event day
💡 Checking for different textures, heights, shapes, lines
💡 Saving and scrolling through designer photos to craft the perfect color palette
💡 Making game decision swaps when you find out the wholesaler doesn’t have what you want
💡 And always… washing buckets, changing water to keep your flowers looking FRESH

I was touched to be part of their wedding through this Pakistani tradition — exchanging garlands that they put on each other during their ceremony.

If you identify with any of the above, know that you are not alone. Know that I invest in myself so I can better invest in you. Here’s to looking ahead and acknowledging what was behind. Let’s go 2022 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Spring IS feeling so close to us right now.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Made this Spring arrangement that has got your March moody weather down. Sneaks of warm sunny days and inevitable rainy days where you just can’t be sure if there’ll be that last stubborn snowfall 🤷🏻♀️ Any guesses for more ❄️???
Something about that springtime earthy feeling 🌂🌱🌸🌞
Iris, protea, lavender roses, and rose sumac to commemorate March’s dance into Spring.
Valentine’s Day is around the corner and it’s the perfect time to learn how to keep your flowers fresh ✨ With proper care, they’ll last longer, look better and show your partner you care!

🍒 Use the packet of flower food. This helps give nutrients and can extend the life of your flowers by 60% vs water alone!
🍃 Remove the leaves that sit below water level. This helps avoid bacteria growth in the water.
✂️ Use clean scissors to trim a few inches off your stems. Cut diagonally for greater surface area of water intake.
💦 Replace water every 2-3 days (don’t wait for your flowers to droop or for the water to get murky!). Trim stems each time you change the water.

Flowers are temporary but it’s a lovely gesture to take care of them and say thank you to the person who gave them to you! Flower care instructions are up on the blog. Link in bio 👆

Tidbits from this year: Accept, let go, reflect, look ahead, take chances, acknowledge mistakes, be generous, receive help, and keep going.

Thanks for the love and see you in the new year!! 🎉
Thanksgiving is around the corner! Check out this quick tutorial on how to transform grocery store flowers into a Thanksgiving centerpiece @wegmans
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣ Make a grid across your vase with clear tape.
2️⃣ Add greens to cover the tape. If your bouquet doesn’t have any, look for some around your house, backyard or on your street!
3️⃣ Add the biggest flowers closest to the bottom (I.e., hydrangea). Add the smallest flowers near the top.
4️⃣ Group similar colors closer together.
5️⃣ Vary the height to add some movement. Think tall, medium, short. If possible try to find some bendy and linear flowers/greens.
6️⃣ Once you’re done, walk away, make a tea and THEN come back to zhoosh (def googled how to spell that one...). This is my best piece of advice - take a BREAK ⏸ Feel free to use that one in life.
