I used the GTX water resistant colors today create a King (or Prince) of Hearts, although I think it would work equally well for a Queen of Hearts too ♥️

January 26th- Paint Anything
I was inspired by all the beautiful "Gothic Peacock" designs on Mix & Mashup Day in the Inspiration To Paint group last week. I decided to use deep purples and teals for my stylized peacock design tonight. 💜

Day 8 of the Winter Waterproof Challenge- Sea Creature
Used my new GTX colors today to try out a quick shark 🦈, inspired by Natalie of Squiggles Face & Body Art of Melbourne. His eye turned out a bit creepy, and not good creepy. 😂 I will attempt Natalie's awesome shark another time when I can do it a bit more justice. 🩵

Day 6 Winter Waterproof Challenge- Dragon using at least 3 colors
Omg, I had SO much fun painting this last night! 💜 I got to play with my new GTX waterproof colors and I'm pretty impressed by how "workable" they are. I liked being able to blend and combine colors similar to how I do in my "real" art on a canvas. I added a few new double dip flowers below the ones I painted the day before.

Woohoo! Braved the cold 🥶 here in Sussex County, NJ, to head to my mailbox to grab this delivery! These are brand new cream products from for WATERPROOF Face Painting!! Yes, you read that correctly! Waterproof! 💦
I currently offer Airbrush Face Painting, and another brand of makeup in solid form, but this new product will give me even more options to offer my clients!
Perfect for pool parties🏊‍♀️, rainy days 🌧, hot and humid weather 🌞, active play 🤸‍♀️, or just longer wear for a full day of fun!

The Jersey Devil is a legendary cryptid said to haunt the Pinelands of New Jersey scaring any humans that are unfortunate enough to cross its path. I painted a cute little cat version of this beastie, inspired by The Cat Game.

Day 4 of the Winter Waterproof Challenge- Big Cat, using a sponge

Decided to be brave and paint my own face today! I used the Body Color Cosmetics with disposable cosmetic sponges for the base, and I'm pleased with how well I was able to get soft blends between the colors. I used some of my Elisa Griffith powders for accent on the eye area. Linework was definitely much easier on my skin, compared to the practice boards! 😂
I'm glad to have the chance to test it on myself, so I can better understand the experience that my clients will have. (The other side was painted with water activated colors for my Inspiration To Paint entry today)

January 20th- 2 minute challenge: floral eye design

I love challenges that help me simplify a design down to basics, to allow me to have quick but impactful designs to offer my clients for busy events. 💕
This pretty sunflower design would appeal to many ages, and was made easy with one stroke cakes for the petals and leaves. The version on the left took just under 2 minutes, probably even less if I was painting it on someone else. With just an extra 60 seconds and a few more details (and glitter), it becomes just a bit fancier and refined. 💕

January 19th- Paint Anything
And Day 3 of the Winter Waterproof Challenge by Bethany McLean : Full Face Butterfly using one stencil

Oops! I painted this yesterday, even did it early in the day. Then got distracted, and forgot to take a photo and post it 😂 Still getting used to using the Body Color Cosmetics on the covered practice board, but found out that the bumps in the press n seal wrap perfectly mimic hitting a wrinkle on real skin 😂 This turned out mostly okay, I like that I was able to blend my colors for the base. (just ignore that weird butterfly body please 😳) I used a tiger/zebra stripe stencil with a powder for the accent texture. With more practice, I hope to refine it to be a bit closer to what I can do with my regular face paints. 😊

Day 2 of the Winter Waterproof Challenge- Full Face Dog

I still need to organize a specific set of brushes for my different types of waterproof makeup. I used Press N Seal over my practice board and used my Body Color Cosmetics solids to create a Bluey design. Might try it again to refine it a bit. I must admit that even though my kids are grown, I do enjoy watching episodes of the show 💙 Looking forward to getting more practice in over the next few weeks. 😊

January 16th- Appreciate a Dragon 🐉 Day
The idea side of my brain was working well today, but a few things I tried painting on myself didn't line up with my "vision". 😂 So...my practice board came to my rescue. This pretty little flowery, fairy-like dragon was a bit closer to the one in my imagination. 🌸🐲🧚‍♀️
