S+M chose to get married in an intimate ceremony in a penthouse suite at the historic Divine Lorraine Hotel. when inquiring, S mentioned she liked dried flowers + wanted to emphasize a gorgeous cathedral window overlooking a grand boulevard. my jaw dropped when she sent the photo of the space. incredible brick work with an incredible view! add in a black floral wedding dress, a velvet tux, and the go ahead to get weird with it– they were truly a dream couple to collaborate with.

since our design concept was open ended, i presented S+M with a few digital mock ups of what their ceremony vignette could look like to refine the feel for their ceremony. their ceremony would be the only true big floral moment of their wedding so we wanted this space to feel especially considered + grand. S chose to go in a fully textured direction with lots of grasses. we leaned heavily into an earth tone color palette featuring two freestanding pillars to accentuate the window + the reddish color of the brick wall surrounding the window. the end result was just divine (forgive me)

monobloom bouquets are an excellent way to keep the look cohesive when everyone is wearing a different color. for emily + anthony's wedding, the flower varieties the maids held were echoed in the reception centerpiece design, keeping a visual flow through the whole event.

the coolest bouquets come from fun inspiration + trust from dreamy clients who are as excited by what you can design as you are! amber, thanks for being so rad! tropicals with a lil jessamine spin in shape and construction. that peaches n cream dahlia, while not a tropical flower, was an irresistible blender between the hot pink, bright orange + wedding white color palette.

even at an intimate wedding, guests are going to be spending a lot of time at the bar. it’s a natural place to congregate. i always advocate for bar pieces to give your guests something spectacular to look at while they are waiting in line! a statement bar arrangement dresses up an otherwise utilitarian space. it can be used as a focal point to showcase your signature drinks and also makes for a fun photo spot once a drink is in hand.

between bud vases, we interspersed sculptural pockets of pin frog arrangements in vintage sherbet dishes. pulling in a mismatch of taper and pillar candles created an unfussy, easy dinner party feel inviting guests to the table
