As usual, Veterans and their immediate family (children and spouse) bowl free on November 11th, 2024. Includes shoes. We are open 10am to 12am. We hope you join us and make some memories.

Dear Citizens of Houston County,

The Houston County Sheriff's Office will NEVER call you on the telephone and tell you that you have a warrant for any offense, for example, missing jury duty or unpaid traffic citations. These telephone calls are scammers attempting to get you to transfer money to them either in person or via cryptocurrency kiosks (bitcoin), PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, etc...

If you receive one of these telephone calls, please hang up the telephone and do not give the caller(s) any personal information or money.

The scammers utilize apps to make the telephone calls appear to be actually coming from the Sheriff's Office and they use actual deputies names when calling. If you receive one of the these calls, please hang up the telephone and ignore them.

YOUTH BOWLING STARTS SOON!!

Kick off meeting and Registration is Saturday, August 24th from 11am to 2pm at Gold Cup Bowling.

Stop by and ask the instructors your questions and get information for this year’s youth league. You can also stop by to register anytime prior to first day.

Bowling starts on Saturday, September 7th at 10am and every Saturday after until May (minus a few holiday weeks).
Ages 7 to 17.

Every July 4th Gold Cup Bowling celebrates our Nation’s freedom by providing free bowling and shoes to those who served our country. On July 4th this year we are open at 12pm and close at 12am. Veterans and their immediate family (children, partners, and parents) can bowl for free. Come celebrate with us!! ID is required.

Elaine Rutherford, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on December 6, 1942, in Macon, Georgia, Elaine was the daughter of the late Grover and Bessie Snow Heath.

Elaine excelled academically, graduating as valedictorian from Dudley High School. Her professional life was equally remarkable, beginning with her role on Robins Air Force Base. Elaine worked for several years as a computer programmer until her civilian retirement. She then pursued a new role as the office manager for the Gold Cup Bowling Center in Warner Robins, where she worked until second and final retirement.

Elaine could often be found perfecting the art of bowling, ceramics, or nurturing her plants. Yet, her greatest source of happiness was found in the company of her family, cherishing every moment spent with them.

Elaine will be remembered as a gentle and compassionate soul, always ready to extend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her legacy of selflessness and love will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her beloved husband of 59 years, Dallas Richard Rutherford, Sr.; children, Lisa Kilinski (Michael) of Hawkinsville, Dallas Rutherford, Jr. (Tamatha) of Juliette, and David Rutherford (Yvonne) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Stephanie Dupree, Richard Hysell, Seth Hysell, Cheylan Rutherford, Dallas Rutherford, III, Anna Rutherford, Ava Geyer, Auburn Geyer, Alden Geyer, and Katherine Rutherford; great grandchildren, Jacob Dupree, Andrew Dupree, Elijah Hysell, Naomie Brown, Preston Brown, and Abagail Hysell; and siblings, Robert and David Heath.

Visitation will be Friday, June 7, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Elaine Rutherford will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Elaine Rutherford to Elaine Rutherford to the Friends of Perry Animal Shelter (FOPAS) at 204 Kellwood Drive, Perry, Georgia 31069.

Gold Cup Bowling respects and is grateful to those who have given their lives in service to our country. May we recognize the sacrifices of those brave individuals and their families. Remembrance ensures that the freedoms enjoyed today are continually recognized as the hard-won legacy of those who paid the ultimate price, fostering a deep sense of national unity and respect.
On Memorial Day 2024, as is tradition, Gold Cup offers FREE bowling and shoes to Veterans and their families all day from open to close. Photo ID is required.
