Prayers for California 🙏🔥

Even though we’re here in Detroit, Michigan, our hearts go out to everyone in California facing the devastating wildfires. Seeing communities lose homes, loved ones, and safety is heartbreaking, and we stand in solidarity with those affected.

We encourage everyone to check in with your loved ones in the area and make sure they’re safe. If you know anyone near evacuation zones, help them get to safety—don’t wait until it’s too late.

Here’s what we know about the situation:

Wildfires are raging in multiple parts of California, fueled by strong winds and dry conditions.

Thousands of acres have already been burned, forcing evacuations in several communities.

Air quality in the surrounding areas is severely impacted—wearing masks and staying indoors is critical if you’re nearby.

Let’s continue to lift up prayers for safety, strength, and healing for those impacted. Be thankful for where you’re at in life because dealing with something this scary reminds us of how fragile things can be.

If you’re looking to help, consider donating to wildfire relief efforts or reaching out to organizations like the American Red Cross or local shelters providing aid.

🎮 The Game Awards 2024 Are Almost Here! 🎉
The nominees for Game of the Year are in, and it’s a STACKED lineup:

🔥 Astro Bot – Released: September 6, 2024
🔥 Balatro – Released: February 20, 2024
🔥 Black Myth: Wukong – Released: August 20, 2024
🔥 Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree – Released: June 21, 2024
🔥 Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – Released: February 29, 2024
🔥 Metaphor: ReFantazio – Released: October 11, 2024

But it got us thinking... Should games that drop so late in the year be eligible for Game of the Year? Or should The Game Awards create a "Late Edition Award" to give them proper shine? 🤔

On top of that, some big names didn’t make the cut this year, and fans are talking about it:

❌ Silent Hill 2 Remake – Nominated for multiple other awards but snubbed for Game of the Year.

❌ Persona 3 Reload – A fan-favorite RPG that many thought deserved a spot.

❌ Dragon Age: The Veilguard – From BioWare, but it was nowhere to be found in major categories.

❌ Nine Sols – A beloved indie Metroidvania that got no love at all.

And then there’s the debate about Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. It’s a DLC, not a full game... so should it have been eligible for Game of the Year? Or should DLC have its own category?
