The first of the daffodils have bloomed 😍 there’s so many buds and more just beginning to sprout. The tulips aren’t too far behind. Bring on the color!

A couple weeks ago I played with some flowers I got at the grocery store. It brought me a lot of joy to bring some cheerful arrangements to a baby shower!

It also made me so excited for my flowers to start blooming again. Nothing compares to fresh garden grown blooms that I started as seeds, roots, or bulbs, by getting my hands in the dirt and caring for them for months in order to get to that end result.

I’m so ready for Spring!

Lovers: come by and shop the hundreds of locally grown varieties that will be available. There’s no better way to spend a winter day than garden planning and dreaming of beautiful summer blooms.

Yesterday before I left for work I let my husband know I needed another shelving unit for my dahlias. When I got home that evening he had this set up and waiting for me 🥰

Dahlia propagation is in full swing! First round of tuber pulls are rooting nicely 😊 KA’s Mocha Maya gave me her first born today and KA’s Mocha Katie isn’t far behind. Plus KA’s Keltie Cherry is FINALLY showing me her pretty purple eyes 😍 It’s been a good dahlia day!

🎄🌻How about a Christmas giveaway?! 🌻🎄

I’ve got 2 bags of tulips bulbs. Approx 75 bulbs in each bag. First bag is a dark and moody mix and the second bag is a fringe mix.

These will do great in pots or in the ground. They’re chilled and just need to get planted in the next week or two.

I’m excited to share that we’re working on a website to get all our extra dahlias listed! It’s going to take a bit to load all the varieties since we have so many but it’s coming along and I’ll share as soon as it’s ready!

All week I’ve been digging and dividing tubers and it’s been so fun to see how each variety produced such different sized clumps and different shaped tubers. Overall I’m pretty happy with the outcome from last season and VERY excited for next season!

Last year I grew hundreds of cuttings over the winter and I’m getting the process started again now. It feels so good to have something to grow and keep my hands dirty during the cold months 😊
