Afterschool Elementary Wednesdays. Shepard completed his 3D self portrait! We also used various materials and techniques to create our 'windy' fall forests, complete with bushy-tailed squirrels or camouflaged birds.

Teen Afterschool Thursdays: this afternoon we explored how to create our own 'scratch art', since no one had experienced this technique before. The results were so fun and original!

Wednesday Evening Adult Art 6-8. David completed his first oil painting and began his palette knife/color blending exercise. Mary began a frosty new watercolor and Katie completed her first watercolor. More photos to follow....

Shelby and Sam each came in for private instruction and they both really wanted to sculpt! Shelby sculpted a 3D version of a painting of my dog, Ginger, that hangs in the studio, complete with paw prints! Sam finished her Stitch project by making him stand up. She then began a 3D swaddled baby Jesus design to create a Christmas card for her school.

Linda had FUN today during Adult Multimedia 1-3! She loved learning how to use a palette knife to blend various tints of oil paints. Great job! Wonderful class today, everyone👏👏🌟🌟🌟

Yesterday's Elementary Afterschool Art: the Sculpy characters created last week were baked, then incorporated onto a canvas panel. The artists designed an environment for their character to be in. There were other 3D elements available such as shells, sand, glitter, flowers, butterflies etc. We even had time to create our own peek-inside Haunted Houses! Happy Halloween! Be safe!

Sophia was commissioned by her brother John to create this colored pencil composite of quite a few game characters. She worked on this for months! She completed it yesterday - what an accomplishment!!

Our last day of Fall Kids' Yoga & Art! Ms Cheryl read one of our favorites: Zen Pig. As she read we all warmed up and then blended red and white polymer clay to create pink to build our own Zen pigs. We put little clay snouts on them and used tools to create the eyes and mouths. After they finished baking, we added shiny curly pig tails! We played two games: Yogi Says and Guess That Pose. Everyone had a turn to be the Yogi and lead the group!
