PLEASE SHARE SHUTTLE ROUTE PICTURE‼️ As we gear up for the city’s “Strolling Rolling Winter Festival” on Saturday, December 9th, we want to share some important information with you regarding road closures on that day, as well as a shuttle service to get you safely to the event. First Student was kind enough to donate four full school buses and there will also be handicapped-accessible Transwick vans. Residents can park at Toll Gate High School located at 575 Centerville Road and get a shuttle to the Sawtooth Building located at 65 Centerville Road. Once there, it’s a short, easy walk to all the excitement. We would also like to make you aware of a few traffic changes/road closures that will take effect in order to accommodate the parade and to ensure the safety of those who will be walking around the Village throughout the festival.

Road Closures:
*Post Road from the Walgreens roundabout to College Street from 8:30 a.m. until the end of festival (approximately 3 p.m.) Residents along the southerly side of Post Road are encouraged to park on Pleasant Street, Prospect Street or Colonial Avenue to allow for access out of the neighborhood during the event.
*Veterans Memorial Drive easterly from the Dunkin’ Donuts roundabout at Greenwich Avenue will be closed to traffic from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m. for the Winter Holiday Parade.
*Westbound West Shore Road traffic will be detoured up Shippee Avenue to Lockhart Avenue until the parade end passes Shippee Avenue.
*Southbound traffic on the Greenwood section of Post Road will not be permitted to travel to West Shore Road during the parade. Motorists are encouraged to utilize Main Avenue to reach West Shore Road.

I am the Soprano of The “‘Old English Carolers” strolling and singing Christmas Carols in the proper Attire of the period! We open Christmas in Wickford on the first of December, Friday evening! Then again on Saturday and Sunday 1-3 PM!
I am a member of GASPEE and have sung multiple times during GASPEE Days and in the Parade

We are less than a month away from the city’s first ever “Strolling Rolling Apponaug Winter Festival”. The festival is December 9th at 9am. Below is a map of the parade route that will kick off at 10 am, which is being organized and run by some of the same people that put on our beloved Gaspee Day Parade. It will herald the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus to the village where they will be on hand after the parade at the “Santa Station” for a meet and greet and photos!

A cherished summertime tradition kicks off today! Rocky Point Farm opens today for blueberry season. Stop by and pick your own, or, if you're in a rush, there's plenty packaged for purchase. Nothing tastes as sweet as locally-grown fruit and supporting a locally-owned business! They're open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays 7 am to noon, and Saturdays 7 am to 1 pm. Also open Thursdays from 4 pm to dusk for evening picking. The farm is closed on Fridays for ripening.
