I do hope you'll say hello if you're attending the Capital Rare Book Fair this coming Saturday, May 3rd. I'll be giving a talk at 2:00 pm at the University Club in Washington, DC. Join us for The Capital Rare Book Fair from May 2nd to 4th at the University Club on 16th Street. It will bring dozens of booksellers from across the country to the heart of Washington. There will be thousands of books at all price points.

The fair will open with a preview night party from 5 pm to 8:30 pm on Friday. Tickets cost $60 and include first access to the books, wine, beer and canapes, as well as live music from John Hampson of Nine Days. Tickets include entry on Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday we are open from 11 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. Tickets cost $15, $10 for students and under 16s go free. Tickets allow unlimited entries.

We will have a series of talks on Saturday include the club library. All talks are included with entry to the fair. At 11:30 am we will host a panel on The Dark Side of Book Collecting featuring book_historia. At 12:30 pm Brian Alexander will discuss Thomas Jefferson's Manual of Parliamentary Practice. At 2 pm Newbery Medal winner Avi Wortis: What Have I Learned from Fifty Years of Publishing? Finally, Kermit Roosevelt and Noah Rosenblum will discuss the constitution.
