As wildfires continue to devastate Los Angeles, we, alongside other organizations, are opening our doors to serve as donation drop-off sites, collecting vital items for those who have lost everything.

Shoutout to , CEO & Founder of and valued TGS member, for collecting donations to support those in need. Her goal is to gather 15 pallets of items, enough to fill the 18-wheeler she’s secured.

You can drop off donations at TGS LA now through Friday, and they will be sent directly to those affected in L.A.

We’re also in need of volunteers TODAY from 2pm–6pm to help sort and distribute donations. Your time and generosity can truly make a difference during this critical time. 💙

In his final weeks in office, President Joe Biden has prioritized appointing federal judges. Among his appointees are 40 Black women who have been granted lifetime positions in the federal judiciary, serving across district and appeals courts. These 40 trailblazing women constitute the majority of the 62 Black judges Biden has appointed to lifetime federal roles. Let’s continue pushing for equity and diversity across all fields!

The world has lost a literary giant. Nikki Giovanni, renowned poet, activist, and educator, has passed away at the age of 81. Through her profound words and fearless voice, she captured the essence of Black pride, love, and resilience, becoming a cornerstone of the Black Arts Movement. Her works, from Black Feeling, Black Talk to Ego-Tripping, inspired generations to embrace their identity unapologetically.

Beyond her poetry, Nikki was a cherished professor and mentor, shaping minds for decades at Virginia Tech. She leaves behind a legacy of empowerment, creativity, and unshakable courage. Rest in peace, Nikki Giovanni—your words will echo forever🕊
