Nathaniel Long, Co-CEO and founder of District Ci**rs achieved his higher education and career goals, but found himself wanting to pursue something which could fulfill his passion. Nate is an Information Technology Systems Engineer, but is an avid cigar and classic car enthusiast. He embarked on this entrepreneurial journey to discover the basis of the human experience: Connections. He and his business partner, Adrian Johnson reminisced on the beauty and insight that came from their past conversations with family members and friends. These conversations always included cigar smoking. He realized he wanted to have a hand in creating these moments for others. Nate is a proud native of Northeast Washington, D.C. and decided to build his dream while representing his city. Nathaniel is enjoying building his business from this vision. Travis Peterson is the Creator & Owner of 49 A Lifestyle Brand & The Boards. Travis comes from humble beginnings in rural Jackson, North Carolina. A loving large family helped mold him into the creative free-spirited man he is and continues to evolve into. 49 A Lifestyle Brand and The Boards were birthed during a year of personal life changes and disruption. Travis was furloughed from his career of 20+ years in the hospitality industry due to Covid-19. In this moment he needed to pivot from a lifelong career to an avenue that would sustain his life. He dreamed for many years of utilizing his culinary skills but never found the time to do so and then Covid-19. He created The Boards a charcutier business where he curates and creates customized boards for his customers. His business has taken on new heights with each creation and partnership. He has truly found passion work of his life and looks forward to expanding his 49 A Lifestyle Brand beyond The Boards. Look out for more from the creator himself as he looks to release his first self-published book in 2021, Volume 2 of his popular Blog and a spice collection in development. Just when you think that it cannot get any better, it does!

would like to Introduce one of our amazing culinary titans who will be a featured Virtual Chef on our “Date Night” VirtchBox.

Adam Williams’ love for cooking started in his grandmother’s kitchen in Alcolu, South Carolina. He studied her techniques and followed her famous recipes to the letter - many of which he still replicates today. Those early moments sewed a seed in him that were watered through his high school mentor’s achievement. He carried his passion into state competitions, where he won a scholarship to attend one of the best culinary schools in the country, Johnson and Wales University.

While in college, Adam entered the workforce and worked his way up to entry-level management. Adam fell in love with the joy his guests encountered when savoring the food he had created with his own two hands. He went on to receive his degree in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management. Adam went from an ambitious young student to an award-winning Executive Chef to one of the world’s largest Fortune 500 hoteliers.

After almost two decades of opening and leading at the most significant 4 and 5-star luxury hotels and corporate dining rooms, Adam transitioned into a new role as a consultant, career coach, and private chef. He is passionate about assisting other chefs and culinary artists in making their dreams obtainable, so that more kids from small towns can achieve their dreams. Above all else, Adam is a proud father to his two sons, Adam II and Bryson.

VirtchBox is happy to announce another wonderful partnership!!

Zack Sanders started his bartending career with the Tom Douglas Restaurant Group in Seattle in 2015 and soon after, he joined the Kimpton family at Pennyroyal. Kimpton gave him the opportunity to move across the country to the newly opened Dirty Habit in Washington DC's Hotel Monaco where he was introduced to the thriving DMV beverage industry.

Since then, Zack has worked across the spectrum from the Michelin-starred seasonal restaurant The Dabney to shaking up frigid Daiquiris and hand cutting ice at everyone's favorite industry haunt, Reliable Tavern. He worked in the whisk(e)y hall of giants known as Jack Rose and helped to open their newest additions to the family, Imperial and Dram & Grain. He has also served with the DC Craft Bartender's Guild as Volunteer Coordinator, Vice President, and currently is acting President.

He has received his Introductory Certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers after a month-long trip to harvest wine in the Republic of Georgia in 2018. In 2020 he passed with the highest marks as Bar Ready with Distinction from the Bar 5-Day program.

He currently works for Safe Bars as a trainer teaching bystander intervention and de-escalation courses to hospitality staff. He has continued to hone his palette and is excited to share all that knows. He will soon be returning to the live bartending scene at the rebranding of Toki Underground in a fresh new location on H Street coming soon!

Hailing from New Jersey, Ebony has lived in North Carolina, Atlanta, New York, Washington DC, and Dallas, and even did short stints in Chicago and South Africa. After graduating from Spelman College, she went on to begin her career on Wall Street. After obtaining her MBA, she began working for one of
the country’s most prominent global consulting firms and has been there for the past decade as a senior leader specializing in strategic planning, change management, performance management, and business development. What most don’t know is that when all of the client work is done, food is the first thing on her brain. Her long-term love affair with the kitchen only heightened as a result of the pandemic. With the world on lockdown, Ebony has been able to dedicate more time to feed her culinary passion and turn her home into a test kitchen for creative delights.

Meet Chelsea! She is the founder and CEO of SIPN LLC. She is a graduate of Virginia State University with a Bachelors in Hospitality Management. After 10+ years in the hospitality industry, in 2020, she was furloughed from her position as a hotel banquet manager. She wanted to continue her passion for creative cocktails by providing a product to customers that are eager and excited to be able to make delicious cocktails/mocktails easily right at home for any occasion.
