It’s all in the details!! That’s never been more true than Christine and Andrew’s beautiful invite suite. Christine and her brother, a graphic designer, made all of their paper goods for the day and her sister, the amazing maid of honor, hand calligraphed all of the envelope addresses. How amazing?? There’s nothing we love more than a wedding day full of special details and family members who could not be more supportive of the bride and groom.

November 30th marks the Feast of St Andrew, the first disciple called by Jesus! It also marks the beginning of a special 25 day long novena prayed 15 times each day from now until Christmas Eve. Swipe for the prayer which has helped me to stay present to this season of Advent. I hope if you pray this novena, it will do the same for you!

Our first official date happened here way back in 2019. It feels just like yesterday but a lifetime ago all at once. Coming back for our engagement photos this morning and looking at our sneak peeks today, I can’t help but think about all the days in-between. Hours of phone calls, hundreds of miles driven just to see each other for the weekend, and many many tears -- all because I so badly wanted to spend time with the man who will be my husband in a few months. It truly doesn’t feel real, living twelve miles apart and getting to be immersed in each others daily lives. I’ve never seen God’s goodness so clearly, even after all of those difficult days, I know it was all preparing us for the life as one to come. Spring cannot come soon enough!

After a summer full of design with the amazing , Cana Wedding Co has a new look!! To celebrate, we’ll be sharing on the blog all week! Today we have an in-depth look at two of our 2021 weddings along with my journey to becoming a wedding planner. Tomorrow we’ll share some of our favorite design work with three styled shoots. And finally, some new tips and tricks will be headed your way next week!!

What is a bride to do when your seamstress says your dress is too heavy to wear all day? Our girl Mrs Christine Mendez took it in stride and stunned in not two but THREE dresses throughout her wedding day!

The ceremony dress was perfect for their elegant nuptial mass, and truly the heaviest dress I’ve ever held!! Then to dinner and a champagne tower in the dress which I’m still finding glitter from... and finally, the perfect dress to dance the night away.

A wedding overflowing with love and the sweetest sunshine, Liam!! Wearing a seersucker set which was his dad, the groom’s, when he was little. And carrying his mom’s veil which was his grandmother’s at her wedding. This day was nothing short of amazing!!
