Would you rather DJ for:
A crowd that dances to everything
or
A crowd that only dances when they hear the songs they already know?
Explain carefully.

Why do people act like DJs are genies?
“I want a vibe, but make it clean, loud, soft, old school, new school, and family-friendly.”
Pick one, beloved.

If your entire DJ career is built around playing the same 50 songs… are you a DJ or a human jukebox?

What’s the WORST DJ moment you’ve seen at a holiday party?
Bad blends?
Random vibes?
Full playlist chaos?
Comment your story.
I’m collecting these so I can HELP folks avoid it this year.

(Also… I still have December slots open.)

If your laptop isn’t backed up…
Congratulations, you’re living on the edge more than any EDM drop ever could.

Tell the truth — are new DJs spoiled by technology, or are old DJs just stubborn?
Let’s talk.

Which genre takes the most skill to mix clean?
Dancehall • Afrobeats • R&B • Hip Hop • Soca • EDM
No sugarcoating allowed.

DJs… we need to talk.
Some of y’all are charging $150 for gigs that should be $600–$1,000 and then wondering why the entire industry feels cutthroat.

Promoters aren’t “winning”…
They’re just taking advantage of the DJs who keep undercutting themselves.

When you accept lowball prices:
• You devalue the craft
• You train clients to expect cheap labor
• You make it harder for EVERY DJ to eat
• And you burn yourself out faster than your laptop battery

If you’re good, charge like you’re good.
If you’re new, learning, or building a name — that still doesn’t mean “give it away.”

Stop racing to the bottom.
Because when you finally want to raise your prices… the clients you trained to be cheap won’t follow you.

Agree or disagree?
Let’s talk.
