Today Joli Events celebrates six years in business! 🎉🎉🎉

A huge accomplishment because year five, though filled with amazing clients and many firsts, came with its fair share of bumps and bruises. It was rough. Giving up isn’t in me but I was ready to call it quits on several occasions. It was was my tribe that kept me going and all my amazing clients.

Year six… Be kind! 😩😂 I welcome you with open arms, positivity and a renewed spirit! I’m excited for what’s to come… New clients, venues, floral installations, experiences and and even overcoming new challenges (it fosters growth)! My goal is to always be better than I was the day before! 🙏🏽

So, cheers to an amazing year six and I look forward to you being a part of our journey! Year five… thank you for making me tougher and more resilient!

It’s Wedding Wednesday!

I recently got married in July. I took on the daunting task of being my own planner, designer and florist in addition to being the bride! Needless to say, I was overwhelmed but overjoyed and filled with happiness at how successful (despite some disappointments) the night was in the end. I’d do it all over again, honestly. 🖤🤍💜🩷

FUN FACT: I had four meltdowns on the day of but my bridesmaid in conjunction with a couple shots of got me all the way together! 🥴

Then I exited the bathroom and saw my photographer .studios putting my flat lay together and I was in total awe! No seriously, I was 😌🥰… At that moment, I knew everything was going to work out just fine and it went up from that very moment!

All that to say, if capturing your wedding day through photography is important to you, be sure to have flat lay photos on your must have photo list!

I love first looks! Your wedding day literally flies by and it gives you the opportunity to take it all, have an intimate moment, and even privately exchange your vows with your partner!

Photographers love it because it gives them the opportunity to get all of your must have photos out of the way. Eliminating feeling rushed to get all your photos done during cocktail hour or delaying your reception timeline because you want to get all of said photos done in one hour.

It takes nothing away from that moment you walk down the aisle to your forever, and allows your bridal portraits to be lit! 🔥 It’s all about perspective! You choose!
