Coming off the heels of an exciting partnership with the Nasdaq Center, this week has truly been a dream for me but also affirms my commitment to excellence.

Not only was I accepted into the prestigious Goldman Sachs Black Women in Business program, I am proud to announce that I am a graduate, and was one of the 30 women chosen out of our 300 amazing cohort members to moderate the ‘Best Advice’ conversation at our closing luncheon.

As I look forward to our mission to support more nonprofit brands I cannot wait to implement all the things I’ve learned alongside the best of the best.

The best consultants come in small packages!

If you don't know me I'm Gabriella Cray: a straight shooter with a love for dry humor and brand strategy.

With a degree in International Business and Spanish, I've worked in over 12 cities throughout the United States and Mexico supporting executive and mid-level managers by analyzing businesses and why they work. In 2020, I left the corporate space and have been thriving as a business owner since.

What I know for sure is that leaders are the heartbeat of the business, and the business needs structure to prevent unnecessary stress on the leader.

This is particularly true for service-based business owners because so often clients see you as the business and when you start as a solopreneur, it can be difficult to go from SOLO to CEO.

What sets me apart from other consultants is my background doing it for a living. I've facilitated training for my entire career and been able to successfully navigate doing so in another language and culture. I know how to create the space you need to figure your business out and am always learning more and more.

As a very reserved person, I understand the need for privacy while also seeing the benefit of group settings. We talk about your most sensitive matters - like how much you make - in private and then come to the group setting to learn how to navigate each milestone you set for yourself.

I currently work as a trainer for organizations like WACIF in the areas of communications, AI, branding, and marketing.

I'm so happy to be here with you for this journey and look forward to working with you!

A quick ⚡️flashback ⚡️ to remind you that it’s not about how you start, it’s about ACTUALLY starting!

So much of what I know today I learned at work. I started in sales at 18 and worked in luxury, boutique, and big box retail before landing a job working in operations in Mexico.

There I was responsible for developing and training a business unit from scratch.

I grew in that role for a few years and was then poached by an international consulting firm that was responsible for diagnosing and fixing business problems, mainly through leadership coaching and process improvement.

I grew my salary to $10k a month before I decided to jump out there on my own.

Fast forward to today, I’ve exceeded my old salary and learned how to do it without sacrificing my peace!

I’ve built on my practices over the years, but many of the practices I use today are the ones that I learned through my career.

So...is it possible to earn over six figures and have a work-life balance?

Yes.

Do you need more sophisticated business practices to make it happen?

Most definitely.
